I'll probably make a decision by tomorrow. I'd get it for more than just Oblivion. GRAW and COD look great as well. Although, the lack of a baseball or really good golf game bums me out.

Even my wife told me to open it. She told me I work hard and deserve it. I guess I should take that as a sign..lol
It's a good thing to listen to the wife when she tells you to open the box and play.

Yes, it does work. I'm using my original one that I had from the XBOX.

One can only hope. I created a japanese profile on my 360 and if it's verified that it works with that, then I'll import it.

I would stick with a PC. I don't know your specs, but a potentially a $200 graphics card upgrade will run Oblivion, COD 2, and GRAW when it is released for the PC in May. Those seem to be the most talked about games right now on the 360 and they are all on or will be available on the PC.

I have both COD 2 and Oblivion on the PC and will get GRAW on the PC when it comes out. Oblivion alone would provide you with hundreds of hours of gameplay. Let alone mulitplayer COD 2.

the best thing is to wait for all 3 systems to show there hand, because with next-gen being so expensive odds are you'll be sticking with one.

Problem is that I only have a 17" monitor (and not even flat panel), so I can only sit in front of the computer for so long. I'd rather sit on the couch in front of my 57". I loved the first Morrowind on XBox except that it had that major glitch that made it almost unplayable for me. I ended up getting on the PC and loving it. I don't really want to upgrade my video card for $250 in order to play this one though.

Update: Unopened box still sitting on the table. lol
I really do need to make a decision. My mom is having some major financial difficulties, so we're going to pay her bills for a couple months. I came home and told my wife I was going to take the 360 back (somewhat because of that). She actually got mad at me. She says that I better not to do that, especially because of the other situation. I'm actually a little surprised she hasn't opened the box for me yet. I put my XBox on the work bulletin board. If someone buys it, I will definitely open the 360.

you can only do what is right for you.. again for me, i have no "major obligations" in my life right now - ie kids, a wife, house, etc, so i cant really say a "yes" or "no" answer... the 360 will be around for a time also, so you could always get one later on if you decided to take this one back.. decisions, decisions///

PK...not to just jump over here and attack you cuz DSP is down, lol, but that statement is mostly wrong bro. Madden is the only game with a stripped down feature set. All of the other sports games are equal to or better than there Xbox/PS2 generation of games. NBA, NHL, Tiger Woods, MLB (supposedly) and even the upcoming Fifa World Cup version are all going to have the same features or more than their current gen counterparts. Madden on the other hand, you are correct. Obviously it's an EA sports thing. Tiger is pretty damn deep if you have played it on the 360. Sure, they only gave us 6 courses, but every other part of the game is leaps and bounds above the current gen version. The fact that you can't shoot 60 consistently in Tour mode without all of the aids is evidence enough.

Like I said, I'm not trying to carry over the other argument...this is just an incorrect statement. I can understand how you can make it though, since you have never owned a 360 or any of their games.

Open it! I can see what your wife is saying,by doing that you're not going to have money for other fun so you'd better open this now. I hated Morrowind and like Oblivion that should tell you how good it is.

NBA Live doesn't have all the features of the Xbox verision. No allstar weekend or whatever that other thing is they have, showtime mode? superstar abilty?...I don't remember the name of it but the point is it's not there.

Casey, I understand about priorities in life. If you sell the xbox, games and all those accessories they should help pay for some of the system. Listen to your wife, open the darn thing and play it. I bet your wife opens that sucker on you. I love the 360 and at this point don't even care for the PS3 coming out now that SDVRAW2006 is coming. I may buy a PS3 to sell on ebay, but you will not be disappointed.

Once again, you'll enjoy the system once you open it up.
Granted the games are 10 bucks more, just be a little more selective.

Madden and NBA live were the only stripped down versions of sports games. ALL the 2k games had the same stuff. Tiger was good.

My PC is running a Geforce 6800GT and Oblvion on a NON-HDTV still looks better than my current video card. From the refelections, HDR lighting, water effects, etc. Think of like this.... the 360 version is like running it on 2 Geforce 7800s in SLI. Yes, it's sitll got some hiccups here and there, but it does on the PC as well. The only plus side for the PC is the MODs.f

Seriously, take your wives advice, open the system.
Play it... you'll think "why did I do that" for about 3 days, and then something will hit you... "that wasn't was a bad idea afterall."

                          Take it easy Casey

Have you played yet? I'm debating buying one this weekend. I'm turning 30 something and a new system would help fight the reality of my age.

I'm fired up for a baseball game and it sounds like the 2k6 for Xbox stinks. Someone at work offered me $100 for my xBox so I might take the money and buy the 360.

This Oblivion game I keep readin about sounds pretty cool, too.
