I'd suggest that "thenbagamer" cools his attitude before he takes a break from the forums. Name calling is against the TOS and won't be tolerated.
Everyone has different priorities... if it were me though fellas, I'd definately open that box. GRAW is an excellent game Bacardi. If you're into those types of games, it's one of the best games I've played from that genre. Definately worth $60.Twitter - WTF_OS

I hope you have better luck with yours. I picked it up Saturday. I'm currently waiting for a repair box to be shipped to me. After a 1/2 hour of gameplay during GRAW my system completely freezes unless I have a 12" fan blowing right infront of the thing.Comment

Re: Decision, decisions. dont know if i should pick up a 360
Bacardi151,
Go for it.
This fall sports games will all look roughly the same since EA and VC did all the ground work on the 360. That will be the lead sku this fall. Now in 2007, that might be a different story.
Just because they have these new systems doesn't mean that they completely started over from the ground up. Both EA and VC spent years making their game engines on way. Basically they are doing things the same way, but adding in better visuals... but that doesn't mean using different mo-cap techniques or game code for the AI, etc. That's why I don't see sports games evolving... from PS1 to PS2, graphically it looked better, but at it's core it was still the same game.
Take Raw vs Smackdown 2007.
That's esentially a port of the PS2 version with beefed up graphics. That's what the 360 and the PS3 have too look forwards too.
As for the PS3.
I can only imagine the cooling and power brick that will have. If cooling is an issue with the 360 now... *sighs* I can't wait to see what problems the PS3 is going to have ---- and there's NO DENYING it's going too have issues. Every console launched has had them.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: Decision, decisions. dont know if i should pick up a 360
I'm in the same boat here, I want the 360 for Oblivion + GRAW, but I can't justify the $500 for every other game that has same gameplay as the previous Gen.
It was easy to avoid when they didn't have stock, but it's a bit more difficult now. I just don't want to regret the purcahse. It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.Comment

Trust me I now sing a different tune now.
And I recently added Top Spin 2, GRAW, and Oblivion. I now have a total of 12 Xbox 360 games.Comment

Is there any speculation about Madden 07 or NCAA 07? Are these games going to be eerily similar to the 06 games with hi-def graphics or should we expect companies (EA Sports in particular) to start from scratch in 07 and deliver true next-generation games.
(Not sure if I am leading this thread off topic, but I am in a simlar boat regarding a 360) Thanks for the input.Comment
