Bacardi, I think he was referring to casey.

However, he shouldn't have have issued that comment in the first place.

lol ya gonna get this post locked.. there wasn't no need for the name calling.

anyways.. if u got family obligations, i can understand why you wouldn't open it... but then again, if u really didn't want one, you wouldn't have purchased it. if ur in the mood for nextgen... i say enjoy it now while you can. You already got it... go on and open it... yeah thas right... flip the top off... yeah, now flip the HD switch, uh huh... yup, u can go head and plug that into your surge protector... don't worry about the size... yeah go head, link up the wireless controllers to the 360... yeah, now pop in that game... yes... NOW ENJOY NEXT GEN.

either way, its damn rude to insult an individual because they want to rethink a big purchase. For whatever the reason.

I might have overreacted however; for that, i apologize.

Waiting to leave so i can go home and 'open' the 360

Bacardi, there are people in this world that speak before they think.

You will like the system very much.

I'd suggest that "thenbagamer" cools his attitude before he takes a break from the forums. Name calling is against the TOS and won't be tolerated.

Everyone has different priorities... if it were me though fellas, I'd definately open that box. GRAW is an excellent game Bacardi. If you're into those types of games, it's one of the best games I've played from that genre. Definately worth $60.

I hope you have better luck with yours. I picked it up Saturday. I'm currently waiting for a repair box to be shipped to me. After a 1/2 hour of gameplay during GRAW my system completely freezes unless I have a 12" fan blowing right infront of the thing.

                    Bacardi151,

                    Go for it.

This fall sports games will all look roughly the same since EA and VC did all the ground work on the 360. That will be the lead sku this fall. Now in 2007, that might be a different story.

Just because they have these new systems doesn't mean that they completely started over from the ground up. Both EA and VC spent years making their game engines on way. Basically they are doing things the same way, but adding in better visuals... but that doesn't mean using different mo-cap techniques or game code for the AI, etc. That's why I don't see sports games evolving... from PS1 to PS2, graphically it looked better, but at it's core it was still the same game.

                    Take Raw vs Smackdown 2007.
That's esentially a port of the PS2 version with beefed up graphics. That's what the 360 and the PS3 have too look forwards too.

                    As for the PS3.
I can only imagine the cooling and power brick that will have. If cooling is an issue with the 360 now... *sighs* I can't wait to see what problems the PS3 is going to have ---- and there's NO DENYING it's going too have issues. Every console launched has had them.

Sorry to hear that UNC, before your next system shows up may I suggest "The Intercooler 360" by Nyko!

p.s. I don't work for Nyko. I just think it should have been on the 360 from the get go !

I'm in the same boat here, I want the 360 for Oblivion + GRAW, but I can't justify the $500 for every other game that has same gameplay as the previous Gen.

It was easy to avoid when they didn't have stock, but it's a bit more difficult now. I just don't want to regret the purcahse.

You won't trust me and the rest of us on OS who are enjoying their Xbox 360's. Some very sick games are heading our way in the next few months as well. I understand you not justifying ports from current gen. I said the same thing myself until I tried NBA2K6, Burnout, NFSMW, Cameo, Project Gotham 3, Fight Night 3 all in their Hi-Res Hi-Def glory.

Trust me I now sing a different tune now.

And I recently added Top Spin 2, GRAW, and Oblivion. I now have a total of 12 Xbox 360 games.

So is the general consensus that the 07 sports games will not be ports? I read a post on the board that gave me the impression that the sports games for the 360 and PS3 would just be upgrades in graphics, was he referring to the current crop of sports games? I hope so.

Is there any speculation about Madden 07 or NCAA 07? Are these games going to be eerily similar to the 06 games with hi-def graphics or should we expect companies (EA Sports in particular) to start from scratch in 07 and deliver true next-generation games.

(Not sure if I am leading this thread off topic, but I am in a simlar boat regarding a 360) Thanks for the input.
