It was easy to avoid when they didn't have stock, but it's a bit more difficult now. I just don't want to regret the purcahse.
The system is the real deal. I can not wait to see NCAA and Madden in the fall!Comment

GRAW on the 360 is totally different than GRAW on the XBox. They don't look nor feel like the same game.
Oblivion 360 vs the PC.... in order to crank out a Oblivion you need at least a $3000 rig (4mhz processor, 2gig ram, and 256 meg geforce 7900)
I'll admit, the first two months I had my 360 I was like "uhhh...." and a bit underwelmed. NOW after this past month, I'm giddy as all hell since they dropped quite a few good games. Not to mention I'm not addicted too, of all games, Top Spin 2 (and it's not just an XBox port).
What do you mean by the comment of "I can't justify the $500 for every other game that has same gameplay as the previous Gen."
Do you mean by games just being a port fest across all the consoles? If so, it's going to be like that on the PS3 as well. Next year, 2007 is when you'll see less ports for X1, PS2, 360, PS3 and see more 360, PS3 only games without the older brothers that are past their prime following.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

VC did the same kind of deal.
Point is though, the 360/PS3 versions are still where the time and effort will go. Not too mention that they are going too look a heck of a lot better in terms of graphics as compared too the Xbox and the PS2.
Is there any speculation about Madden 07 or NCAA 07? Are these games going to be eerily similar to the 06 games with hi-def graphics or should we expect companies (EA Sports in particular) to start from scratch in 07 and deliver true next-generation games.
(Not sure if I am leading this thread off topic, but I am in a simlar boat regarding a 360) Thanks for the input.
Once you start playing with your 360 it's going to be hard to go back.
I didn't think it would, but now... I'm looking at my XBox and PS2 and wondering if they'll ever get love anymore.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Anyone that thinks the 360 will have a price drop this year is on crazy pills. Sony will be in the 500-650 range (system and HD) once it's all said and done. Why lower your price when you're beating your competiitor by $100 or more? Nintendo won't be a company to worry about until after the first year to see what kind of support it's truly going too get from the developers and how stingy Nintendo will be with the "quality over quantity."

Like Zeke says, I had the system since launch and the first 4 months there wasn't much out. Now I'm starting to feel overwhelmed by all the games. $400 for the 360 is worth it.Comment

Yeah, I was on the fence also. Until I walked into Walmart last week to pick up the King Kong DVD, and lo and behold, a lonely 360 Premium was in the display case. With the recent release of G.R.A.W. and Oblivion, I bought the thing, traded in our PS2 and about 30 games at EB and came home with Madden 06, College Hoops, Oblivion, GRAW, COD2, PGR3, Kameo and Burnout. I'll be getting MLB 2K6 next week and maybe BF2:MC.
I held out because of the lack of games, especially sports titles. But with E3 coming up, baseball season followed by NCAA 2007, I bit the bullet.
I was reluctant because we just bought a Sony 52 rear projection SDTV about 4 years ago, and I'm not about to drop any more money for an HDTV at this time. However, by using the component inputs, there is still a big improvement visually over the original xbox.Comment

Re: Decision, decisions. dont know if i should pick up a 360
to continue the trend, i too took the plunge and picked up a 360 premium w/CoD 2, which is a tight game so far. i'm probly gonna pick up oblivion sometime this week, which should hold me over for a long time. needless to say, i don't regret the decision, and i can't wait to pick up a hi def set to play it on, just not sure when thats gonna happen.Comment

Re: Decision, decisions. dont know if i should pick up a 360
Well, I finally did it. I opened the bad boy up tonight. I am really impressed, and I haven't even opened any of my games yet. I've just been setting up Live, playing Hexic and marveling at the simplicity of it all. I had all kinds of problems getting my XBox hooked up on Live. The 360 just found the IP settings quickly and was ready to go. I'll probably crack open Oblivion in a little while.
Is Project Gotham good? I got it with the bundle. I can't sell it at Gamestop because they won't take wrapped games. I really want to get GRAW and Burnout.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095
