Pretty impressed so far and I love how you can grab demos. Fight Night looks absolutely amazing and I'm about to try Madden for the first time.Comment

When you buy a PC off the shelf, you have to buy better fans or a cooling system since what comes with the PC is standard. When you build your own PC, you'll most likely spend money to buy a better cooling system for your PC if your worried.
I guess the best analogy would be to buy that dell pc, expecting it to work out of the box, but you realize you have to go and buy a couple of fans at compUSA cause it doesnt have any and the system keeps shutting down cause of the heat.
If this is going to be a new trend, i guess i'll have to live with it, but i still dont think its right.Comment

Originally posted by Bacardi151i sort of disagree with this. I have a liquid cooling system in my newest box, but i choose how i wanted to build it. I could have easily purchased a regular machine or a dell, for example, and gotten what i wanted; not have had to have purchased anything else ( if what i wanted was just a regular pc, gaming rigs are different of course). Now the whole having to buy accessories for a game console so it will work correctly or just keep it from overheating just bugs me a bit.

My Xbox360 is a launch system and has been 110% perfect since launch, which means Zero lockups, no 3 Red Rings of Death, nada...perfect. I've been around computers i.e. "Mainframes, and PC's" most of my life. If you use practical commonsense you should be fine without ever needing the Intercooler 360.
I give my 360 all the airflow it needs and even during long gaming sessions the unit runs warm. Here's the point the Metro, myself and others are making. 'It doesn't hurt and if anything it gives you a little added protection just incase. Microsoft choose to use the fans it did in the original design because it wanted to cut down on noise levels.
There is nothing wrong with blowing more hot air out of the 360. For me the Intercooler 360 is a godsend. I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida and 3 blocks from the beach. Let me be the first to tell ya it gets mighty hot here 7 months out of the year.
p.s. And none of yall are invited to visit.Comment

Originally posted by Bacardi151Alright, i can see where you and Metropolis are coming from. I guess i am making a big deal out of non-issue. I got the cooler, my 360 is working great, and I now don't have to worry about any potential lockups due to heat. I even made sure to get the best buy warranty this time as well, so a little paranoid, but i am set in case anything were to go wrong with the console.
