Good, ban me first. You're still a noob here.

Don't approach it as GRAW, that's for sure. Approach it more like Quake with modern tech. I played it constantly last night, think Millenium and I crossed paths like 10 times lol.

I'm telling you bro, my son abandoned GRAW for this, he personally thinks its 5 times better than Halo II.

He's on right now I think. Dude is insane in this game. I'm better suited for GRAW, this game requires intense twitch reflew skills.

My boy plays Spec Ops all the time, its funny to see him take out tanks with just his guy.

Yeah, I just have to convince myself that it isn't GRAW, nor is it trying to be like GRAW.

As long as you keep that mindset, you can have a blast. Jump off a building, pull a chute, and land behind enemy lines. See an enemy abandon a tank and try to capture a flag..then hop in the tank and run his *** over. Launch an attack with a helicopter, raining rockets down...watch the AA emplacement fire off the rockets, ditch the chopper and 'chute down, unloading clips all the way.

I mean, it's a COMPLETELY different experience. I even had a pucker-factor moment last night to end all pucker-factor moments.

Guy sees me, I'm standing all by my lonesome on the snow map. He's in a hummer and decides to run me over...only he didn't know I was an engineer. I pull the RPG at the last second and plant a rocket through his radiator. The damn car actually explodes, flies OVER me, and lands in several smoking heaps behind me.

Absolutely beautiful, and not exactly remotely similar to GRAW. Play it for 10 mins and you won't have to think it much anymore.

How do you open up the parachute after you jump off of something?

Thanks... I've always wondered how other people were able to drop down in parachutes. I tried to figure it out on my own, but I would just crash into the ground and die haha.

                      I know, it's silly.

But I kept dying, couldn't figure out how to do it and refused to chalk up more deaths-to-spawn ratio lol

I have been trying to figure this out since I played the original xbox version: How do you call in air strikes?

I would look in the manual but I rented the game from GameFly and they only provide a brief and basic control scheme on their website.

Played with dave360 and nyisles16 tonight... pretty fun matches.

I wasn't playing too hot... I can't stand the maps where one team starts off with all of the flags, and the ones in close quarters that require quick trigger fingers.

I prefer to be an engineer... lay some mines... rocket some tanks... and shotgun unsuspecting flag capturers. So far, that's the only one I'm decent at... and it's about all I play.

Either that, or being Spec Ops, and C4-driving trucks into tanks and groups of people. That's about the coolest thing in a video game, ever.

hey Brankles, I saw you in there too but didn't realize you were the OSer Brankles.

you and I did a little damage together if I remember correctly.

I agree with the bigger maps as I'm learning a lot and the smaller ones are tricky.

MY favorite are probably Russian Border and Backstab as they allow you to move around and use strategy instead of rocket barrages all day.

oh.... and this page is cool

it allows you to plot a strategy on the maps and then save it for the Clan for us to each pull up and view and such. You need to link your GT to EA server though on your computer.

                            pretty cool

You were more than "decent" dude. You led the scoring at least two or three of the games we played. When you were on the opposite team of me, I think you killed me at least 3 or 4 times, and Klocker seems to find the artillery strike most every time it becomes available.

There are stations set up around the different maps and when you hear and see "artillery strike is now available", look on your map for a symbol that looks like a space shuttle... and as long as you are the first one there, you walk up to the machine, hit A, then a map pops up and shows you where everyone is. Then you move the cursor around to where you want to unleash hell and hit A and enjoy

I need to start getting on these matches. Me and Dave will fight anywhere, anytime, after all, we ARE volunteers
