The submarine missions are really fun. I kept running out of torpedo's on the second mission. Haven't yet made a serious attempt on the third.

Re: Battlestations Midway
Anyone getting into the regular missions yet? I just picked up the game this afternoon but probably won't be able to get into it until tomorrow or late tonight. Post your thoughts! this game looks like it's gonna rock........ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: Battlestations Midway
I picked it up last night and am currently at the Naval Academy. This game I think is gonna be the sleeper of the year. It's so different than the typical shoot-em up game. I even bought the strategy guide to help me get a really good understanding for this game. I can't wait to get online once I feel comfortable playing and getting the controls memorized. So far I think it at least deserves a rental for those on the fence. Peace!!Last edited by Flightwhite24; 02-03-2007, 11:27 PM.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Battlestations Midway
Still on the training missions-Got a little over confident and went into ship challenge. Funny-thought i had the controls figured and started doing all kinds of dumb things. Looks like it's a little early for that stuff. Oh,after about 5 crashes on the plane training section,I finally nailed it-errr. Anyone else had to work with that to get it right? I'm still not overly confident with the flying-yet-anyway-looking forward to the missions and challenges. Anyone get deeper into the missions? this thread got kinda quiet. So,either everyone is online with it,or moved on to something else.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: Battlestations Midway
Anyone trying the mission challenges? kinda tough-but fun. The first sub challenge gets me everytime. The first plane challenge-think I'll get it next time, got really close on my last assault. Like others here said-once you get the controls down,it really does open up the game for you.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: Battlestations Midway
This game is fun so far. I've played 4 of the campaign missions, they seem to be fun and as deep as you could want. I got to play one match on live before the super bowl yesterday and it was a blast. It was 4 vs. 4. I am not very good yet so I got my butt kicked but it was a blast planning with my teammates and trying to track down the opponents ships before I was easily snubbed....www.simgamingnetwork.com Come join our leagues!

Re: Battlestations Midway
Ah! Second Ship mission keeps getting me right at the very end. I take out like 8 other ships then get sunk in the final battle. So frustrating but addictive.
Coffeeholic:
In that first sub mission I've found the most effective thing to do is to put up your periscope until a destroyer is coming right at you and you at it, when it gets to a medium range fire two torpedoes off...that usually does them in. Once the destroyers are out of the way the rest is easy. The second and third sub challenges get really ridiculous.Comment
