Let me stop before I get started again.

I think that 6 button layout for the Genesis was alot better for street fighter IMO. It was setup just like the arcade. It was a lot easier to pull off combos. I couldnt stand that button layout on SNES controller.

this is the original 6-button controller by Sega that I had. Notice it didnt have the normal, turbo, slow mode feature on it. :

i had a NES and this local place had tons of NES games but no genesis games. that nintendo bond grew stronger when SNES was released. from there a n64, and then a ps1 way past its prime.

      I loved ken griffey baseball

I also liked that donkey kong game.

i havent played sonic to this day. its not that I hated it but i just didnt have time for two systems and what I had kept me busy.

i'd never get into arguments because I never knew the other side. I wouldnt have blind bias with my system and just hate on what i didnt have. I know friends did that. Most of my other friends didnt even have nintendos until the n64 phase, when most of them stuck with that.
Hey Ruben...do you still have your dreamcast?

Man, I used play the hell out of Evander Holyfield boxing. Some of the features that game had were way before its time.

Joe Montana NFL Sport Talk brought back alot of memories also. I remember my friend and I used to make believe we were playing college football because the NFL teams had the same colors of the major college football teams out there. (There were no college football game out on the market then). Denver looked like the Tennessee Vols; the 49ers looked like Nebraska, etc. Sport talk or Madden didnt have the NFL license then.

The battles we had on Madden '92 (probably one of the greatest sports game ever made)

When Bill Walsh College Football came out, I was in heaven.

I cant forget my Phantasy Star III. I played the hell out of that game.

There was a Bulls VS Blazers And The NBA Playoffs game on SNES before NBA Showdown.

My fault. Bulls vs Suns came out for Japan Snes and didn't come out for the U.S. Was NBA showdown for the SNES any different then the Genesis?????

They were pretty similar. SNK was the first console game to let you create and customize teams down to their logos. I would create the SWC baseball league using all the real names and at the time that was incredible. Both were fast paced games of baseball which I loved and dont think really exist anymore. I could play a game in around 25 minutes. Both games tracked stats but in SNK after wins you were awarded a certain amount of points which you could use to build up player attributes. I loved the pitching interface, no cursors (both had fatigue though) you guided the pitch to the plate, and could move it depending on the pithchers ratings. What I would do to have a modern b ball game with that style interface. Both had dead on controls for baserunning, easy to learn. KG had the MLB license, but not the Players Association, the names were fake but you could edit them. Brings back good memories of SFA dorm hall 16.
