I downloaded the demo. It was Ok, I wouldn't buy it and I probably won't rent it. I just didn't like all the walking on the walls and the soul walk or what ever it was called. It just seemed lame to me, I can see how some people could like it though.

Terrible game. The controls were clunky, the graphics way too dark (adjusting brightness in-game resulted in washed out background), terrible voice acting, just awful. The best part, as mentioned, was the soundtrack.

And what was the deal with the roller coaster intro to hell (or spaceship...whatever)? I thought I was watching a tech demo of 'Roller Coaster Tycoon', what with all the clicking and screaming as the chick Jen went down the hills.

Having not followed this game at all until reading about it in a gaming publication, hearing how it was in development for three years plus, and the full 360 motion seemed intriguing...the execution however, was terrible. Oh well. I guess we can expect demos to drop after the game is released all the time now so the publishers get your cash first. A shame really.

I think the game will still sell well.

I've been reading mixed impressions from console gamers, while just about every PC gamer likes Prey.

I will be getting it for the PC, because the netcode for multiplayer is awful on the 360. This is the samething that plagued Call of Duty 2, and it took forever to get a patch. Also, I have a feeling it will be a graveyard online for the 360 version after about a month.

Textures and physics are better on the PC version, then when you add in mods, I would say the PC version is the clear winner.

I disagree with everything you said. I love the demo... thought graphically it was great, the "rollercoaster" ride was immersive and the acting was pretty dang good.

                Re: Prey

The game indeed is too dark. When you start off in the casino I though the lights were turned off so than I hit the switch and it got pitch black. Every part of the game is shaded too dark, adjusting the brightness helps but it also kills it kind of.

The space ship or whatever is weird as hell. In reminds me of "War of the Worlds" with injecting the humans to take their blood, and someother stuff.

The game really reminds me of Doom, just no story line so far.

I finally had a chance to play this game tonight after downloading the demo days ago. I think that the game was way too dark at the beginning when you are walking around at the bar/casino. Once you finally get abducted than the game lightens up a bit on the spacecraft + I adjusted the brightness a notch or two.

Going in with an open mind, this game is not as bad as everyone has made it out to be. It brings nothing new to the table except for the teleporting and living weapons, but it's one of the better shooters on the 360 at the moment. When you compare this game to:

                  -Far Cry
                  -PD0
                  -Quake IV
                  -Battlefield 2

Both GRAW and COD2 walk all over this game. I found this game to be more fun and graphically superior than the rest of the shooters on that list not including COD2 & GRAW .

Will I buy this game? I'm not too sure yet, I'm thinking about getting Prey or Chromehounds.

While comparing this game to Doom 3, it felt like Doom 3 was more clausterphobic unlike this one here even though it's using an enhanced version of the same engine.

Now if you were to give me Half Life 2 optimized for the 360, I would be all over that in a second.

IGN could give it an 11, the demo was still dog **** to me. IGN gave WWE Raw for the XBox a 9.2. Case closed

The demo sucked, still sucks, and will always suck.

I'm interested in the game, but I wanna wait for some 360 reviews first.
