Haven't seen brain dead AI yet.... maybe it's there and I haven't noticed it b/c the game is so engrossing.

I DID see what you're worried about from the GT HD review. Again, no signs of it.

Is this game a lot like prince of persia? Does it have a lot of acrobatic/puzzle solving type stuff? I am still on the fence about getting it and I really like the Prince of Persia games.

The reviewers lately have been smoking the same crack, that t.v. writers have...

They need to really get some rehab and start doing their jobs...

The last 9 games that have been released...including Assassin's Creed have had the worse reviews I've seen...and read...

only to get the game home, and its great....

Some is either picking favorites or just down right critical on anything made.

This game is unique in its own way and its fun to play. A.I. is fine as far as I'm concerned....

Yes, that was just going to be my next comparison. It's almost like a hybrid of the three.

That's right. Not as open ended as Shadow and Ico were but that same sort of feel. You have to figure out your objectives. It's very, very enjoyable.

There's a bit of stealth thrown in as well. I have no idea how long this game will last but the feeling I get from just the first level is comparable to those two.

I might have to take a look at this game, if only a rental. Comparing it to ICO and SOTC is some statement though, as those two games were simply incredible.

Yes, they really were. Epic is how I would describe them. AC is right up there so far. If that changes I'll be sure to chime in.

I'm glad to see people on here are liking it. That eases my mind some. I'm still going to hold off though. With only so much cash to spend as holidays approach, and only so much time to play there's just too many other games out that I feel would be a better purchase for me right now. Call of Duty 4, and Super Mario Galaxy come immediately to mind. Plus I still am playing Halo 3 a ton. And just the other day I realized it's been a while since I've played Bioshock, and I probably never even made it half way through that. This definitely looks like an early 08 purchase for me, if at all. The game releases will be slowing down then, and maybe I'll be a little more caught up on this other stuff. It's cool that those that have it so far are enjoying it though.
