Yes, I read the whole thing and I still have the collection. I shouldn't go so far as calling it the worst Spiderman storyline in it's history, but I almost felt like it did a bit more bad at the time for Spidey than good.

I do agree with you Millenium, this storyline not only was deep via emotions for Spidey/Peter Peter/Ben Reily but also for the readers. It was during the time to that Aunt May died, so it only added to the emotions.

I also remember lots of people did get upset that at one point Ben had replaced Peter as Spiderman.

The whole Clone sage was just one wild ride good and bad imo.

The story was fine, but dragged out too long and by the the end of it no one really cared. I just like the look of the Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly's Spider-Man costume was also pretty good). I don't care for the Iron Spider though.

Can someone please explain to me the Iron Spider persona?

Misfit, I do agree with you that the whole "Clone" saga dragged on for way too long. It started out with a bang, and just kind of dragged along at some points for me.

It;s not a persona. It's just a suit Ironman made for Spiderman and it seems like the suit has been collecitng data on spidey.

So, for somebody like me that never played Xmen legends, what is this game all about? I played the 360 xmen game, is it going to be similar to that? Is it going to be a button masher, a RPG, what's the deal? I might pick this up with one of my TRU returns if I like what i hear. Thanks

Its an overhead action title with some RPG elements. It's not really a button masher as there are simple combos and special moves to use though no one would call the gameplay of X-Men Legends all that deep. The RPG elements basically just allow the characters to get stronger and you can allocate points to certain areas that suit your style of play so that one man's Wolverine may not be the same as another. The main draw is being able to assemble a dream team of superheroes and taking them through the missions.

Man - this game will get me off sports games for a while. That's what the first 2 X-Men Legends games did for me. I am getting it for 360 and PSP, but the roster of heroes is pretty darn cool. It would have been nice if Hulk or Punisher could have made the cut, but no due to licensing issues with both characters. I'm kinda glad in a way that not all the X-Men were included because the real attraction of this game is playing with the Marvel characters and outside of a couple of characters, I can't really argue with the roster. At this time - here are the playable characters - wikpedia isn't always reliable (I have VIP too):

                Captain America
                Spider Man
                Thor
                Wolverine
                Elektra
                Blade
                Dr. Strange
                Ghost Rider
                Mr. Fantastic
                Invisible Woman
                Thing
                Human Torch
                Iron Man
                Spider-Woman
                Ms. Marvel
                Deadpool
                Storm
                Luke Cage
                Black Panther
Daredevil (Exclusive code from Target stores to unlock)
Silver Surfer (Exclusive code from EB to unlock)

                Captain Marvel (PSP Exclusive)
                Black Widow (PSP Exclusive)

This game is out in a couple of days and I can't wait

And for anyone worrying about Daredevil and Silver Surfer for the 360 being 'code unlocks' only, they can both be unlocked by playing through the game and beating specific bosses (won't ruin it for you guys as to which bosses you need to beat, if you search hard enough it can be found).

I do think it sucks that Hawkeye and Capatin Marvel are PSP only. Marvel was pretty cool in his own right, and Hawkeye would complete the Original Avengers team for us...

I agree - it would have been nice to see both characters with next gen visuals....maybe they might be unlockable if there's downloadable content on the 360 version - slim chance, but you just never know.

I'll post my impressions when I get the game probably tomorrow....

Totally pumped up for this game. It might be the first non-sports game in a long time that I actually finish.

Wish there were some reviews, but I'm a sucker for these types of games and the Marvel universe, so unless the game is a total bomb, I'm sold.
