Thought 5 million was their goal for this year. What's their goal for this year's end? That' pretty great for them. Glad that we have more people finding the greatness of the system.

10 mill by end of 06 very achievable because of the Holidays and supply problems with the PS3.

Here's what MS originally planned for the 360:
"Microsoft originally projected that it would sell up to 6 million Xbox 360 units within 6 months of its November 2005 launch."

It's taken them almost twice that long to get to the 6 million number. They are also still trailing the PS2 in monthly US sales (not sure about the rest of the world). I'm not impressed.

Alot more developers will look at this, as a strong point. And hopefully crossover a few more exclusives or other titles from the PS3 end....

The Next Gen battles are going to be great....Looks like M$ is doing good for itself so far....

well 6 million isn't that great, considering they had 1 full year head start, without competition. And the reuters article I read, said they had shipped 6 million consoles. That's technically different that selling 6 million consoles.

What's wrong with comparing the PS2 sales to the 360? You say the next gen battles are going great, but the 360 is the only next gen system available. I guess the battle does go great when you're the only one on the battlefield. Maybe we should compare the 360 to the Xbox. In that case the 360 is selling WORSE than the Xbox over the same period of time. How is that impressive?

I think there are some people who just cannot accept looking at ALL the numbers, and isntead just look at one and claim they see the whole picture. Personally, I don't careone of or the other how the 360 does in terms of sales. If it has enough games I want that I can't get anywhere else, then I'll buy one.

This goes to everyone: Please stop callling people 360 haters just because they are not going ga-ga over this 6 million number. These boards are here for discussion, and not everyone will have the same opinion.
