Yeah I wonder what that means. I don't see a link or instructions on what or how to get it, I'm assuming he just meant they "made" it and are about to release it, I assume.

That sucks that your system got "bricked". For the last few days you were asking about the 360, you get it and then this sh*t happens.

lol yes it does suck very badly, though I am still unsure on how to get this "fix". (all they are saying is call up MS, so I'm assuming I will have to send it in for repair)

have you tried turning it on recently. It's supposed to ask you if you want to update. Should be automatic.

Since the update messed it up it can't get anywhere. Logo, then error. (can't get to the dashboard)

Oh and thanks extreme gamer for showing me to this thread I was so frustrated and you prevented me from ruining another xbox 360.

There's a big difference between saying a "small number" and a small percentage.... even 1% of a customer base of 6 million is 60000 people. lets say its half a %... still potentially 30000 people.... if that many people died in an earthquake you would certainly not be saying it was a small number.

This seems like a pretty major mistake. Unless they can fix the ones that got E71 they are going to ruin alot of xboxes.

I did hear of a possible fix by turning the xbox 360 on and then off repeatedley will get it eventually to boot for those E71 errors!

I keep turning it on/off and so far the same thing.

I'll post here if that changes. (but I highly doubt it)

Xbox has some of the worst customer support when you call that 1800-4MY-XBOX. First I had to listen to a digital guy who basically had no useful advice about my problem. Then after waiting on the phone for 30 minutes got a foreign woman on the phone(clearly they outsource). She was very polite just she didn't know what to tell me to do. They need to inform their workers about this problem going on so their workers don't tell you to tell the store to stop selling you bad xboxs. Literally the advice I got from her. I destroyed $800 worth of 360's listening to Xbox customer support. From now on I'll just come to the forums first as everyone here seems to know more than XBOX customer support.

The E71 errors cannot be fixed it looks like. You must send your Xbox back to them to get a refurbished one, Yes I didnt studder even if its brand new.

That is possibly the biggest bull**** I've ever heard. If MS is the reason I now have the E71 error, and I have to send it to them, you better believe they will be compensating me.

I don't have the E71 error by the way, just saying.

Yes they are the reason you have that error, thanks to the update.

I got mad with them and they offered Kameo or PGR3 as compensation to having to pay for shipping, so they might offer the same to you.
