I just have to chime in again and say this game is absolutely GORGEOUS. The scenery and atmoshpere is just amazing IMO. The colors in this game just pop out @ you. Really makes you feel like you're in a jungle environment. The animations are top notch as well. Ive seen guys somersault off cliffs, get shot in the foot and hop on 1 foot in pain, lol, and drake when hes running, jumping, fighting, swinging, hanging off ledges, everything just looks so authentic. I'm really impressed so far. PS3 owners really have something to brag about now IMO. As far as upcoming releases go(off the top of my head) I only expect Metal Gear to over shadow this. Is this really better than AC graphically?? That's tough to believe.
The shadows, the lighting, the textures... everything in AC is top notch. If this is better I have to give it a try.

Is it "better"looking than AC? I would say no. There are many times I play AC and I really believe it is the best looking game on next gen. But if AC is a 10 graphically, Uncharted is a at least a 9. It's really really good.

I haven't played AC yet so i can't compare. But Drakes graphics like Sage said are Gorgeous as with the animation too. I love the color of this game. With Glenn saying that AC looks better man i can't wait to pick that upComment

Just finished the game tonight and thought I'd share some spoiler-free thoughts:
This is gaming on a grand scale. The sheer scope of the entire project, especially production values, is amazing. The story is incredibly well told. Voice acting is superb. The graphics are astounding, though there is a bit of screen tearing once in a while and the occasional clipping problem. The audio, including the musical score, is also top-notch. The length of the game was perfect, IMO. Took me around 12-14 hours to complete it.
There were a couple of frustrating parts, but nothing to discourage you too bad. The characters were all terrific, from the main guy (Drake) all the way down to the multiple bad guys. Drake works so well because he has tons of personality and is not a super-human hero. The love interest in the game is also a great character and you really find yourself rooting for her. This is really epic story telling on a grand scale. The cut scenes are unbelievably good, among the best I have ever seen and make the story seem all the more real.
Gameplay is tight. The character moves very well and fluidly, which makes getting around pretty much a snap. There is a ton of gun play, and the weapons all feel (and sound) really good. The puzzles are pretty simplistic, but I had no problem with that, as this is first and foremost an action game. The game is linear in the same way the Tomb Raider games are. Uncharted uses a cover system not unlike GoW, and it works very well. The parts needing Sixaxis control are pretty rare, and it works fine when you need it. Never had a real problem at all with the camera.
I would rate this game a solid 9.0, coming in just behind Bioshock for my GotY, though I have yet to play Mass Effect, AC or CoD4. Anybody that thinks the Tomb Raider games crossed with the Indiana Jones movies sounds fun really ought to check this one out. Naughty Dog has mentioned that they planned to make a trilogy if this one is successful, and I hope they follow through. Supposedly some neat stuff had to be left out due to time constraints. The next one, if it happens, should be off the charts.
