Re: Little Big Planet (PS3)
With all the tons of Vids and previews I would hope any bad controls were pointed out already. If not then WTF....Joshua:

Re: Little Big Planet (PS3)
The boss of LBP said he at times is annoyed at the controls which is why I brought the topic up. I haven't played the beta so I don't know, nor has it been mentioned by anyone else so hopefully he is just nitpicking as most great game developers do.Comment

I sort of wish games would stick to one control scheme. It's tough for me to go from COD to Halo to SOCOM, then go NHL 2009 to 2K9, etc.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Little Big Planet (PS3)
I have economically decided to forgo NBA 2K9 to get this game, so hopefully it will be fun. I'm kind of confused on the dynamic, as you need to play levels to earn creator points, but it seems many of the obstacles in the videos I've seen are multi-player specific. Anyway, I can see myself wasting a lot of time building levels that no one will play. This looks to be a very cool game.Comment

Re: Little Big Planet (PS3)
Just got lucky and picked up the game tonight. Been playing with a buddy for the last two hours.
I will have more impressions to follow for sure, but here's a basic rundown of my first impressions.
First off the controls take about 15 minutes to get used to. The use of the six-axis control works really well with the game, as it basicly animates your characters mannerisms. It's really fun.
As soon as you fire the game up there are some great tuturials that help you get your feet on the ground. They cover basicly everything from basic movements to advanced controls. Not really hard to get used to.
As you progress the story mode you gain more of an idea of how the worlds work, as well as collect various cool costumes and items that can be used to create your own world.
The graphics are...amazing!!! That's all I have to say. They are so colorful. It reminds me a lot of how colorful and cartoon-ey the first Crash Bandicoot game was on PS1.
Haven't devoted much time to level creation, as right now I'm focused on story mode.
It's a blast. Hopefully you guys won't be disappointed. It's generally just a fun game to play. I haven't had this much fun with a platformer for so long I can't remember.Attached FilesComment

Re: Little Big Planet (PS3)
Most Definitely. Like I said, haven't really put much time into the level creator, but I know right now I'm getting like 27% complete per level. There are certain areas of the maps that I just haven't been able to figure out how to get to yet, and I'm sure it will take some mastering of the skills to get 100% complete on all the world maps.
If you are someone who likes collecting trophies, completing maps 100%, or just enjoys finding secret areas and puzzles to games, you should get plenty of replay value with this game.Comment
