Not a dumb question... But no it was on. Even tried a different mic with no luck. I did a chat during the same time when people were not hearing me and the 1 on 1 chat works fine.... I have no idea...

if you have more than one spell, hold the right trigger in and use dpad left right to change spells.

Yay for reading the instruction manual or paying attention to in-game tutorials! (Disclaimer: This assumes the instruction manual wasn't of EA Design or that in-game tutorials properly covered this information).

I think he knows how to do it, but the fact that it requires a brief pause or delay when switching, especially if the two spells are right next to each other is what the issue is (i think).

Nonetheless, good info for those who didnt have it.

I don't think you get the blue magic veins for casting magic, you get them for learning it. I didn't like the glowing veins on my character so I delearned all of the magic except for a few levels of time stop and the veins just about all vanished right after exiting the menu.

Same thing with physique. I had leveled up on strength and my female character was a hulk. I delearned them and now she's back to actually looking like a woman.

...or at the very least it seems like you can get rid of veins by delearning magic.

Hm.......i would be disappointed if that was the case. I can understand it happening from using all of them, but from just learning them? Ah well, guess ill make my peace with it.

So if you learn all the magic and all the melee stuff, you'll potentially be a Smurf on steroids with the huge bulk and glowing blue everywhere.

I could be wrong, but that's what it seemed like to me. I wasn't a big magic user and I didn't notice the veins until I started hitting level 4 or 5 on some of the spells. I didn't use them, so I delearned them and nearly all of the others and the veins aren't noticeable now.

Do you take a big hit experience wise when you unlearn something? I'm not sure I like the "Blades" magic as much as I thought I might...Some of the others I'd like to try and see if I can use them in my fast/distance play (rifle and katanas for my normal weapons). Any idea if you lose a ton when selling them back? The 2nd and higher levels are expensive and I'd hate to lose all those points.

I assume you take a hit, but I didn't care because I wanted to get rid of the veins.

Enemies respawn all over the map though, so earning back xp isn't all that hard.

True...I'll look into it tonight anyways, I think it's only a hundred or so to sell.

I was liking Inferno, and Blades is just too slow for my playstyle. I think my Ninja type guy could use time control, but need to mess around with it. I think I'm being slightly paranoid just cause there are some games where you have to be stingy with points...for all I know you can end up being a Uber guy with everything maxed out in Fable.

No I dont think you take a hit in XP, it gives it back when you delearn something.

Yes...the blue veins come from learning magic.

To learn magic, you have to cast magic.

Either that or burn a TON of "general" xp to learn anything.

So in the end, it's still because you're either using magic or learning spells that you never use anyway, just because you can afford it.

MGO, it would have been nice to know that last night when we were both sitting there chopping wood for half an hour
