I think he just meant that there's basically only Halo in the range of Mario or Metroid, a game worthy of buying the system. I don't have a cube or xbox, and I'd buy an Xbox first in a heartbeat, but they do have a point that most of the good Xbox games are available on PS2 (at a slightly lower graphical value of course)...

Bottom line, xbox is the best console out there right now until the PS3 comes out.

Of course the graphical difference is obvious. I have both consoles and my PS2 is collecting dust since I got the xbox. I now look to buy games for the xbox only. If my nephews didn't already have PS2's I'd let them have it. I'll probably keep it, especially if Madden isn't xbl compatible.

Re: Microsoft\'s Xbox losses almost double.

Call me old fashoned or whatever you'd like, but i buy the systems to play the games. The only reason i go out and buy a new console when i already have one in the current generation is because that console has games that i just need to play.

I purchased a ps2 at launch because i could play all my old psx games. Most, not all games on the xbox, while looking better, etc are already on the ps2; i cannot see myself spending an addtional 300+ dollars for an xbox to play the same game with a few functional and graphical differences. I would rather buy the game for 50 bucks.

I got a gamecube over xmas because it had several games not offered by the ps2 which i just had to get my hands on. I got a good deal for it and decided 'why not'?. The same thing happened with the n64. Was it a great system? no idea , but it did allow me to play the games i wanted to play and i got a good deal for it too.

Ultimately, most of the games the xbox has are or will be on the ps2. If the xbox would have come out first perhaps i would have gotten that instead.

As i see, i barely have have time to play with the systems i have now. So missing out on a third doesnt really matter to me much.

                                the games...the GAMES!!!

if the xbox, to me, had a game that i just had to have, like the cube did with prime and zelda, then i would be more than happy to get it

right about now i see no reason to spend 200 bucks on it. Like i said, i can get for the most part the same games for the ps2. I've played halo, i've played morrowind, i've played madden, all on the xbox. Did it make me go out and buy one? nope, for whatever reason.

XBOXlive would be the only reason i would get the console, but like i said, i dont have enough time for the other machines; i cant see myself being able to break away from my current crap and pull away from playing online. I stopped my online binge when i saw that neverwinternights and unreal 2k3 were eating away at my sleep time. no thanks
