Side note.
Drum difficulty lvl to me... from easiest to hardest
Easy, Expert, Hard, Medium
anyone else feel this way? I average a 90 on easy and an 80 on expert, and somewhere in the 60s on the other two.Comment

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band now with Impressions
I more or less did and I don't regret the purchase at all. I am going through the guitar career, drum career, and occasionally messing with the mic career.
On another note, I have retired my RB guitar controller and playing exclusively with my GH controller. It is just better.Comment

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band now with Impressions
I've only played the guitar portion of the game in solo career so far, so I can only comment on that.
Playing the guitar parts in this game reminds me a lot of Guitar Hero II, but with (so far) easier note charts. The note window feels identical to GH2's and more correct than Guitar Hero 3, and the whole process of playing the guitar just works a lot better compared to GH3; not quite sure how to word it. I am personally not finding any issues with the Rock Band guitar; though I've yet to attempt anything with the solo buttons, I've taken a liking to it. Those who have played the Guitar Hero games on Expert may potentially get bored with the easier note charts, but personally this has not been an issue for me, due to A) I find the song selection to be better than that of GH3, and B) reasons below.
Beyond simply playing the guitar, this game has an incredible amount of energy. A TON of attention has been given to the graphical representation of your band, the crowd, the venues, etc; it feels like you're watching a high-energy rock show when you watch the band in the background. Really adds to the atmosphere of the game and is really well done.
My favorite part of the solo campaign so far, oddly enough, has been the character creator / modifier. Having the option to make a virtual representation of yourself is always better than picking from a list of stock characters, and the character creator in Rock Band is pretty expansive. There are all sorts of outfits to deck out your character in with a buncha accessories to choose from, and you can customize the on-stage demeanor of your character as well. If you are a guitarist or bassist, you can customize your axe as well; currently my character uses a Strat which is customized to look exactly like the real Strat I play, which I find awesome.
I can't wait until I get the chance to play this four players.Last edited by Hooe; 11-22-2007, 02:24 AM.Comment

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band now with Impressions
Anyone break their RB Strat yet? Played for about 10 hours on launch day and my "down-strum" stopped working after the first 9 hours. Now the "up-strum" has also stopped working. HMX will be replacing it for free, looks like I better purchase a GH II or GH III guitar just in case.
Otherwise I'm totally addicted to this game and I haven't even touched the DLC or XBox live yet.Rootin' For:
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Dallas Cowboys
New York Rangers
Houston Astros

Online World Tour is coming, I've read that the update yesterday was to prep it, we could have it by early to mid December. Don't quote me though, but it'll be in the game sooner than later.Comment
