      THAT is dedication.

When I was in a garage band many, many moons ago I played drums and sang.

All we had was one of those crappy mics that you plug into your tape player back in the day.

We taped the thing to a broom stick and propped it up on some boxes to it went sideways to my head so I could sing and drum at the same time.

      Ah the memories....

I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on the use of the effects switch on the RB Fender guitar. I was messing around with it on some of the different settings (I know enough about guitar tech to know what they do) but in my limited time with the game (2 days), I can't determine when they come into play. Is it only during solos or when overdrive is activated? Your input is appreciated, thanks...

Just during solos I believe, at least that when I notice the sound is different.

That's correct. You pretty much answered it yourself.

It's for overdrive parts. If you're in overdrive your effects will work. Not just solos. Works for BASS too.

Yeah, it definitely effects the overdrive, as well.

So playing Rock Band and then Guitar Hero, there's no question that Rock Band is 100X more fun to play. Just the way the songs are put together, note charts, etc.

The atmosphere alone from Rock Band blows away Guitar Hero. GHWT could be old news too considering all the things that RB2 can do. The editor is cool, but what else does that game at that point have over RB2? The Metallica 'Death Magnetic' full album d/l is cool, only if the new album is good.........but that will work with GH3 too. I think that the GH franchise is slowly going down.

Couldn't agree more. I love the atmosphere in Rock Band so much more. From the different stages and venues, to the crowd singing along to the songs. Sometimes with the surround sound, I think I'm hearing somebody in the next room singing along till I realize that it is that awesome video crowd!!

Heh, seriously, the atmosphere just blows away GH. Even before I ever bought or played Rock Band, I got SOO sick of that damn chick with the devil horns dancing on the stage in GH3. It was so boring to look at and was the same damn thing every time. When I finally caved and bought RB the first time I popped in the disc I was blown away and I have hardly played GH since. As a matter of fact, I'm still seeing things in RB that "wow" me. It is just that good.
