Re: Harmonix's Rock Band Discussion
The only problem is there isn't much DLC that's worth it. They need to get some more freaking metal out there already. It seems they're absolutely in love with this classic rock and rock crap, though. I don't get why there hasn't been some more Metallica, or some Megadeth, Nonpoint, or bands like that. It's like they're completely ignoring the metal fans.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band Discussion
I hate Muse - and on top of that, Muse isn't Metal. Looking at the GH III download list... I'd download one song - the Tom Morello battle. Should have been in quick play mode as a regular song from the get go.Comment

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band Discussion
I know and I was waiting for my paycheck today, but after crunching some numbers, I think DLC is very overpriced. If you buy 5000 points for $60+, you'll only get about 30-40 songs. The game itself has what, 70 or so songs and would cost about the same amount of money without the instruments.
That being said, there is some stuff that I have to get: Metallica, The Who, Oasis, Radiohead and many more I can't think of right now. Guess I'll just have to put up with my wife *itching that I spent another chunk of cash on this game. This even though she plays it with me and complains more than I do about wanting more songs. Ahh, the mystery of the female mind...
EDIT: Almost forgot, I was going to buy the DrumShh pads today as well (wife usually plays the drums). Worth it?Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band Discussion
I think the reason for the lack of metal is the vocal aspect of the game. It just isn't as fun to scream (for me anyway). I think Metallica is about as heavy as it's going to get. I could be completely wrong though. We'll have to wait and see what the DLC announcment is today. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Or maybe we'll get another Jimmy Buffet pack.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

And personally, I love Muse. I wish Stockholm Syndrome would've been added along with Hysteria when it came out instead of being on GH3.Villanova Class of 2012

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band Discussion
Would've rather had a Staind song from Break the Cycle. Most of their songs since that album have been pretty weak.Comment

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band Discussion
Staind from Dysfunction would have been great. Everything after that has pretty much sucked. Oh well.
I've managed to get myself into the top 7000 on the leaderboards for Guitar. I know that probably no one cares - but I think it's pretty cool to be 7000 out of who knows how many players on LIVE (only keeps track of 100,000 - so I'm at least in the top 7%. My exact number right now is 6,968).
I'm still working on Gold-Staring songs. I didn't really care about leaderboards, but I decided to check it after I'd been gold staring a ton of songs. I think I've got almost all but the bottom 2 or 3 teirs gold-stared.Comment

Question on the Rock Band Leaderboards. Does it factor in all difficulties, bonus songs, and downloaded songs? I've played only Hard/Expert songs, so I'm wondering if people get higher ranks by beating all difficulties. I'm ranked like 26,000 I think.Villanova Class of 2012

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band Discussion
So if you got 50,000 on hard but only 48,000 on expert, you'd get the 50,000.
Someone correct me if this isn't right.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment
