Re: Guitar Hero 3
I'd give anything for an AC/DC download pack, or a Metallica download pack. Led Zeppelin would be great too. I know Rockband has the Metallica download pack, but I can't justify buying RB when I already have GH. The drums and mic don't excite me.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
I'm in the same boat, the mic and drums do nothing for me so I can't justify another 60 bucks on a guitar game right now....although the longer GH goes without new DLC songs, the more interested I am in getting RB for the growing selection of songs.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
Activision Sued Over Mono GHIII
A class action lawsuit accuses the company of "deceptive and unlawful conduct."
by Daemon Hatfield
December 12, 2007 - After a month of complaints from Wii-owning Guitar Hero fans, Activision finally issued a statement to IGN last week concerning the fact that GHIII runs in mono on the system. The company will be replacing the discs in early 2008. This hasn't stopped a class-action lawsuit from popping up, however, suing Activision for "engaging in deceptive and unlawful conduct."
Wired reveals that plaintiff Samuel Livingston of San Diego is being represented by the KamberEdelson, LLC law firm. Although Activision's statement to IGN came on December 6, the lawsuit was filed yesterday on December 11.
"Although Activision has been aware of this issue since late October 2007, as of the date of this filing, Activision has yet to: publicly take responsibility for its advertising and specification misstatements; provide a fix or compensation to Wii gamers for the lack of the advertised Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound; and correct its advertising for current and future purchasers, who, as the holiday season approaches, are even now purchasing Guitar Hero III music videogames that are not what they say they are."
The class action suit includes any purchaser of GHIII who "would not have purchased the Guitar Hero III video game and/or paid as much for it had they known the truth about the product."Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
You know, I REALLY liked Guitar Hero II but ever since I got Guitar Hero III I've really been "meh." Most of the songs are pretty good, but Battle Mode is pretty weak (I hate that stupid powerup if you both complete the song). I see Rockband out there putting all this DLC on Live while Activision sits on their thumbs and does nothing. Really disappointing.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 3
I figured as much since, like the other guy said, they're not even on Itunes. It's all just wishful thinking. It's such an easy game to add more content for. Rockband is blowing them away.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment
