No question Through the Fire and the Flames will be the toughest song in the game, but it will probably be a bonus song you have to purchase like Jordan in GHII since Dragonforce isn't really that well known of a band.

Tom Morello confirms he's a boss in GHIII while Aerosmith suggests GH IV is already in the works.

UK, September 5, 2007 - Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello has revealed he's set to make his Guitar Hero debut as a boss in Neversoft's upcoming Guitar Hero III. That's not all though: Aerosmith reckons Activision is already working on Guitar Hero IV.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Morello solidified his appearance in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock noting that, despite being a boss character, he's not actually very good at the game. "Whenever I play Guitar Hero my opponent always kicks my *** on my own riffs. It's embarrassing. Now that I'm actually in the game I hope the digital me will win once in a while," he quipped.

Meanwhile, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has dropped hints during an interview with Billboard.com that the band is working closely with Activision on what he called 'Guitar Hero IV'. Perry revealed, "I don't know much about the technical part of it but artistically we're working hand-in-hand." However, Activision has dismissed his comments as rumour and speculation.

AWESOME!!!

Art Guitar is creating some very special, limited edition Guitar Hero guitars called the AG Riff Master Guitar Controller.

But, these aren't your average tiny plastic versions, oh no! These are made from actual real Peavy guitars and are full sized to heighten your gameplay experience.

I figured a Rage song was coming soon, great song to add.. The track list for GH3 is INSANE.

Yup. I hope the first two games (or at least II) get released on the Wii eventually. I love playing Psychobilly Freakout and Misirlou.

Anyone who plays Guitar Hero actually play guitar or an instrument?

I plan in a working rock band and really dont have a desire to play guitar hero and not sure why

Maybe its because I can play basically anything in the game on a real guitar? Are there other reasons to play the game (ie strategy) or anything to make it worthwhile.....Just wondering if I missing something.....

I think the main audience for the game are those who aren't experts at said instruments. That said, the multiplayer modes in both Guitar Hero and Rock Band ought to provide fun at a group level (particularly Rock Band... let a not-as-skilled friend take lead guitar and you take drums, or something), even if your skill level at guitar is far beyond what Guitar Hero demands.

I play guitar as well, and while I'm probably nowhere near as good as you are, I still can get enjoyment out of both GH and the real thing. If you're looking for some new guitar trick or method of playing through GH, though, you're gonna come away disappointed.

I've played guitar for about 9 years, and Guitar Hero is still incredibly fun. If you can honestly play all these songs on a real guitar, then it probably isn't for you but it is fun to just pick it up and be able to play Freebird's solo note for note without the same learning curve as a real guitar. Also I would say that Guitar Hero has helped my fingers become more nimble as its a more fun way of working your fingers independently (in chords mostly) than just doing drills on the guitar.

Just wondering if the game itself had much depth/strategy.....At this point in my life 20+ years of playing and gigs 2-3 weekends a month - it approaches a second job.....So, I dont think it would be much fun - I need a break from the guitar more than a desire to pick it more....

Honestly, yes, any that I might be interested in - I can already or easily pickup with just a few minutes of work with my TASCAM GT1....Btw, if you are into playing and dont own one - get one - its all its cracked up to be for working out songs and practicing while not getting the cops called on you...LOL

Now that I look at all the tracks, I gotta say I like it. Way better than GH2 IMO, covers more and has less annoying songs.
