At least with wired controllers you don't have to worry about batteries or lag. I still use wired controllers on the PS2 games even though there are wireless guitars available. Sometimes those cords just aren't long enough though.

Yeah, I am just grateful I got the game. The only issue is that my 360 is above a giant 51" sony boat anchor on a behemoth of an entertainment center. The Chord dangles in the way.

I have to say I'm jealous of Rock Band's DLC... I hope GH3 gets some more soon

I got the GH3 bundle and GH2 for Christmas and I've been trying to make the transition from medium to hard over the past week or so. GH3 is kickin' my *** on hard on the very first set. GH2 is a lot more manageable in the beginning, but GH3 seems to be harder than GH2.

It does seem harder. I can't beat 3 songs on the 6th set in GH3 but am doing pretty well in GH2 on Hard.

3 is much harder than 2, that's for sure. The GH songs have seemed to get progressively harder each release (except for 80's edition, it was about the same level as GH1).

The transition from Medium to Hard is drastic to say the least. Keep practicing and you'll get it eventually. You really have to get used to moving your hands up and down frets before you can be any good on the hard level. It took a week or two of pretty consistent playing to get it down. At the end of the Hard level, the songs are pretty insane. Raining Blood kills me. One gets me at the solo, or shortly after.

It's like moving up to Expert in GH2 from Medium.....I'm still having trouble with the transition myself...barely into Tier 3.

I disagree completely. I think GH III is much easier than II. Probably because the timing window is larger and HO/POs are much more forgiving.

I can breeze through basically anything that isn't in the last two set lists. The last group is definitely the hardest though.

What difficulty do you play on? Expert is definitely more of a challenge than it was on GHII.

I find Expert WAY easier than on GH II. The hit box is bigger, and there aren't nearly as many tough songs.

I failed 1 in GH 3 total (that slayer song), whereas in GH 2 I was stuck on a few songs trying to get through my career.

I guess the reason I think this one is harder is because of the 3-note chords. I have problems with those and their placement in this game seems to be more and in tougher spots than in GH2. Maybe I'm not remembering quite as well since it has been a while since I played that one. I do agree that the timing window and GH3 is wider than previous versions.

I moved into the second set on Hard tonight and I think the second set is a lot easier than the first - I five starred Sunshine of Your Love, so it can't be that hard. If I can get down the timing for three-peat notes in Barracuda, I can probably 5 star that as well.
