Well for the PS3 guys, no mandatory install.
If anyone played the original Fallout 1 or 2, they will feel right at home. The menus have that same monochrome look.
The create a player tool is pretty in depth. I think it's one of the most important features. I wanted to give a little info about the CAP. When I play a RPG (Mass Effect, Oblivion), I spend a lot of time trying to get my guy's look right. I hate playing a game and I look at my character and I feel like my character looks weird. I know others may feel the same way also.
1. You have a choice of four races.
White
Black
Asian
Hispanic
2. you can then choose from 10 preset faces, randomize a face or make your own. You can customize the shape, tone and eye color.
Shape includes 9 different parts of the face. Things like the eyes, nose cheeks and mouth.
Tone includes 12 different categories. Similar to oblivion (shade, flushed, tint).
And finally you have 4 choices for eye color.
3. There are 18 hair styles, custom hair color with the classic RGB color scale and 47 facial hair choices. yea, 47.
