    Re: Fallout 3

Couldn't get a day off next week so that's going to be a struggle. I'll be getting the game Tuesday and just staring at it in the office all day long.

The Prima official strategy guide for Fallout 3 rolled into the office today, and I wanted to show you how thick it is as a gauge of how much content may perhaps be in the game

I'm with you on that one. I know a lot of people hate reading reviews but I need some reviews just so I can read more about this game. So excited.

Agreed. I never put much stock into IGN reviews, but i'm actually waiting for that one, because they generally do 5 or 6 pages of content for big game releases.

Gah, I am dying for this game! Only a few more days...

DAM! That's bigger than Obivions, actually twice as big. Bigger than FFX too. Wow. This game is gonna take forever to finish...and I'm good with that.

Oblivions seems just as big. Pretty close to it. Especially the one that includes the DLC stuff.

Also why are they called "Strategy" guides? What strategy is there when the books gives you the answers etc to stuff.... Always wondered that....Guess it just sounds better than the obvious title it should have.
Don't get me wrong. I use them AFTER I finish the game and have found all the stuff I can on my own. Then I'll buy the book and go from there. I just find it funny when they are called strategy guides..

Anywho... Can't wait to get a hold of this game!!

Is this game going to have the openness that Oblivion did? I loved Oblivion, probably best RPG I've ever played...will Fallout have the same sort of feel?

Yes, but even better. The area is more dense. And you won't be scouring the same 5 dungeons over and over that Obilivion had.

Wow, I wonder how heavy the box that the strategy guides come in is. Lol. I will be getting the Strategy Guide with release but I will do the same thing with it that I did with Oblivion. I will wait until I beat it one time then go into the strategy guide. I did peek in the strategy Guide a few times to check some of the ingrediants and to read about diff monsters. But I never looked in the Quest Guides.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of the V.A.T.S. kills. Also loving the ambient music. Much like Obilivion.

I always accidentally killed the NPC's with long range attacks or magic in Oblivion. V.A.T.S should help with that a ton.
