Does this game feel a lot like Oblivion?

Yea, it does. The actual game play like running around and interacting with NPCs feels like Oblivion. But the setting and the weapons give it a cooler feel for me. And the character development is way different as far as I can tell so far.

Same dude. Might pick it up Friday.

I really should hold off and just play Fable 2 though.

Just finished Fable (Main story) yesterday so in between Fallout 3 playtime I can get all the extras and do a second playthrough of Fable 2. Just wanted to make sure I finished Fable before Fallout 3 so I wouldn't forget stuff in Fable 2..

I also heard in a video review that there will be DLC only available for the 360.

Small preview.

The game world of Fallout 3 may seem daunting, but the sheer size is amazing; especially since the environments are incredibly detailed. With so much land to travel, players can use ‘fast travel’ to get from place to place in a hurry but only if they’ve already visited the location. Having so much to do, and tons of enemies to kill, players may run into the disease that’s contagious that Oblivion had – the disease of picking up every item they find and picking through the deceased bodies of your enemies to earn money (in the case of Fallout 3, bottle caps are the currency of the world).

Seriously I have no problems with the books once you get seriously stuck and haven't moved forward for a week..
I just don't like the people that get the books then tell everyone they can how they beat the game in 10 hours and it was too short etc.. while they've used the "strategy" guide the whole time.

Thats how I use it. I play on my own, and use the guide as a reference if I get stuck.

Dam GS said they'll give 30% extra on trade in towards purchase? Time for Madden collectors edition to go back! Should make a good chunk for that. I only owe 10 on the game though so the rest...hmmmm maybe the guide?

For Madden 09 & Live 09 I got $67. Not to shabby. Hated to give up Live 09 but it just not the game I thought it was going to be. Peace!!!!!
