Re: Fallout 3
My suggestion to you would be to go rent Oblivion and Fallout 3 and see if you like them. You could even go to the local Gamestop and buy them used, if you like them keep them. If not you can take them back to Gamestop within 7 days or take them back to where you rented them at.
The worst that can happen is you dont like them and take them back, but both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are games that deserve to atleast be tried out. If you do get them just be patient, the beginnings of each can get boring and tedious but once your outside you will be amazed.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Fallout 3
Definitely try it out. The story isn't much, and short. But, the real meat of the game comes from all of the exploration. I would rent it, as said above it deserves to be tried out.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
thanks for replies guys
so would you say it's the 3rd or 4th best console RPG released recently behind only Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and maybe Oblivion? Im going to have to buy this. I didnt realize I enjoyed console RPGs so much. Im a little late to the party I know.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
I think I'd say that. I haven't played Dragon Age on a console, so I'm not sure it is on par with the PC version (which is great).Comment

Re: Fallout 3
The main story is short but people have put in over 100 hours on this game. I'm currently on about 60 hours and still have a ton more to do. What is really interesting is seeing Washington D.C. in ruins and you can actually explore monuments like the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Capital Building, etc.
If you get this game I highly suggest buying the strategy guide. It is a must IMO. Because there is so much stuff you will miss like side quests and what not which some are located far in the wasteland.
I would rent this game to see if you like it but it is one of my favorite games of all time. With the GOTY edition you get all 5 dlc which adds more quests.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Fallout 3
1) Oblivion
2) Fallout 3
3) Mass Effect 1
4) Dragon Age: Origins
Bethesda games are insanely awesome and if you haven't played Fallout 3 you better.
I was lucky and played Oblivion and Fallout 3 on PC and the mods and addons are ridiculous. Make the game look and play 10x better.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
I put 100 hours into Fallout 3 & enjoyed every bit of it. As someone said, its the exploration that gets you into it. You see something far out in the land & go "oh, whats over there?" "Hey, whats that?" Next thing you know you've been playing for hours & wont even know it. Well, thats what happened to me.
I also have Dragon Age on PS3 & I've put maybe 10 hours & both are totally different games. Fallout 3 is kinda unique setting, post apocalypse, while Dragon Age is like LOTR, WoW, D&D setting which has been done alot.
