so when I beat broken steel, no matter what I can go out and find more quests to do? If thats true, this game just a lot better.

I do have a question about the other DLC, I know you go to Pitt, and then to the swamp, but do these all start out cimpletely different? Like should I wrap up Broken Steel and get all I can out of the capital wasteland before I dload those add ons? Or will they all end up back in the capital wasteland where i can continue messing around?

The game is completely open ended after broken steel. This means you can finish the last quest in Broken Steel, and then continue to take up side quests and explore.

As for the other add-ons, yes, they all end up back in the capital wasteland. Nothing to worry about there.

EDIT: There is one way to have Broken Steel not make the game open ended. If at the ending you:

I did do some old quests I never did before. For instance in my my first playthrough I didn't get a chance to complete the "Wasteland Survival Guide" quest from Moira in Megaton due to some complications () so I finally completed that. New locations would be Arlington Library and Robo Factory.

Also didn't know so much about Rivet City. There's really a lot to do there that I didn't get a chance to do before.
Man, when I did Wasteland Survival Guide I accidentally chose a Speech option on the Rivet City objective, so my reward was kinda weak after I completed the quest.

I remember when I beat the game earlier I was disappointed I couldn't go back and do some of the side quests. This time I'm just doing all the side quests/exploring before I even touch any story missions. Hell I haven't even been to the GNR building yet.
just be careful exploring like that. when I first played back when it came out I did this and ended up

I agree. That really held me back from playing this game another go around. That's why I tried to do everything in the game after Broken Steel came out for my only play-through.

The moment you get to the end of the first vault you are given the option to save the game and edit anything about your charecter you wish...very similar to Oblivion.

Leave a saved game there and you dont have to redo it each time you want to restart.

Thanks man, I forgot all about that. Hopefully I can find that save.

Problem is there are a lot of things to do previous to that - I like to change my character's actions, as opposed to having to just do it once and picking the same thing over and over if I want to play a new character.
