I've had a cold for two weeks, partially because I haven't slept more than 5 hours since this game came out.

I slept three hours last night and I didn't even realize how late it was. I looked at the clock and was like wow. Fun day at work.

Freaking Mole Rats jumping out of the dark while exploring run down buildings are driving me crazy.

Been dragging *** all week. Every night (like tonight) I say I won't play and go to bed at like 10....and um...well....yeah. A night without Fallout? NEVER!

Then I pay at 5AM the next day. You'd think I'd learn and grow up or something.

I just picked it up and am hoping my new job offer finalizes 100% (I've got the job, just need the official offer)...then I can quit my current job and maybe have a day or two for Fallout 3 depending on when the new job is ready for me

You'll need a week off straight. This game just sucks you in and there is just so much exploring to do and quests.

On a side note, I was creeped out like I've never been by a game last night, even the RE games. I was in that hideway place adventuring and this game really creates some tense moments playing alone in the dark. Some how I ran out of ammo, saw a shadow move in the game and bitched it out and ran away. lol

Don't think this is a spoiler, since I won't say where to get the schematics, but has anyone else made the Shishkebob? It's a crazy powerful flaming sword type deal. I took out one of those Yai Gao things with two hits in VATS using the Shishkebob, as opposed to wasting a load of ammunition.

Anyone else found the Alien Crash site yet? I found it way Northeast after I started picking up a weird radio signal. There's a dead, unsearchable alien, but beside him is a CRAZY powerful Alien Blaster rifle with a ton of ammo for it on the ground beside it. It incinerates enemies in one shot rather often, but you can only use what ammo you have, as i'm assuming there are no more crash sites. Awesome find.

That's what I meant to try. I got the schematics for it but don't remember where I got them. I like it better than Bioshock (wich I also didn't like) but it's not even half of Mass Effect. Thought I'd mention I did end up having 2 freezes but they both came doing the exp cheat so no big loss. I also got stuck in a rock.

To be fair - the game really isn't anything like Bioshock or Mass Effect. I wouldn't even bother comparing them.

The Shishkebob rules!! I try to take out monsters from afar, if they get close they get burned and sliced in half!!

I have everything but the Motorcycle brake cable to make the shishkbob. I think that is what I am lacking

I love the shiskebob too, just looks cool. I finally got enough money to get the railway spike gun plans, but of course now I can't find one of the parts needed.

I'm playing a good character so of course no stealing or murdering innocents and taking their stuff, so money is hard to come by. Here's a good way to get some though. Do the Reiley's Rangers quest, she'll give you some sort of mapper item. Reiley will pay you for every new location you discover. I discovered a handful and went back to her and she gave me 1700 caps. By far the biggest and probably easiest cap reward I've seen.

I rank Dead Space and Fallout 3 as the best single player games so far this year

I have a good feeling For multiplayer Left 4 Dead is going to take that for me

Where can you get that quest at?

I met Reilly in the ghoul underworld at the Mall. She was in the hospital area (chop shop?) unconscious in a bed. I needed high medicine skill to revive her and she told me about her team being ambushed. I think you can also get this quest from hearing the ranger team's radio distress call near the national archives.

It's a tough quest against super mutants. Once you save the team and go back to the ranger compound she'll give you the mapper.

I think the reason I got 1700 caps the first time is because she counts every location you explored previously without the mapper item . But either way, it's a big pay day.
