Severe lack of Ammo? You are not scavenging then, I never had a problem with ammo.

Same for me, I had no problem with ammo or stimpaks. It is a nuclear fallout, so things wont be easy to come by but they're there.

If anything I thought there was too much ammo floating around, by the end of the game I was a walking ammo dump.

Well it doesn't matter now anyway. Soon as I find Alexandria Arms I'll have:

that pile of bad***ery and won't ever want to use a gun anyway.

Oh yah, there was a mod to fix the stupid run animation too.

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about here, goh.

I, on the other hand, have been playing this again for the past few days. I hadn't played since end of May (kinda surprised myself when I looked at the last save file).

Finally got through the Museum of Technology en-route to the Washington Monument. Having recently visited DC, really impressed with the accuracy (albeit a ruined, apocalyptic one) of the city. Those big guys are not playing around and I'm not even sure what my level is so I did a lot of running around and ducking behind doors to escape their wrath.

I hear there is something interesting in the Lincoln Memorial. Something that heavily guarded must have treasure, right? I think I'm going to test my luck when I get the chance to play again.

I'm talking about how average/sub-par it was on the console and how it's pretty darn good now on PC with mods. (Same goes for Oblivion.)

Yea I would not call Fallout 3 Average on any system. I know how much better it is on PC with mods, but the Console Version still kicks the crap out of most RPGS.

I agree, it's one of my favorite games of all time. I put in over 100 hours of gameplay in it.

Agreed as well. It's the best console RPG i have played but yeah the PC version and it's huge modding community does make it better no doubt.

PC Modders are the biggest untapped resource in Video Games. Valve gets it, A solid % of their company started off Modding Half-life. Hell a Battlefield 1942 mod(Desert Combat) and a Half life mod(Counter-Strike) were easily the best FPS released up until that point. Before Halo was Released, When you heard First Person Shooter, you thought of Counter-Strike.

1000% agree. Developers are always complaining about short dev cycles, etc. Why not open up these games to allow the multitude of amazingly talented modders out there to go beyond what the devs have the time and resources to do to make the game better? And for no extra cost. It's a no-brainer to me.

While i totally agree with this i guess it can be a double edged sword for the developers ie why buy their new game when you can keep downloading amazing mods to give you more value out of the old game for free.

Some of the unpaid work some of the modders do is absolutely astonishing!

So they can release their own DLC and charge for it. It becomes obsolete quite quickly if the modders can have a field day. Someone released a 4 hour alternate start where a prison was bulit on top of vault 101. (Says it's 4 hours,I went with it since I had to restart.*) 4 hours of extra game for $0. Heck Kane & Lynch 2 is 4 hours and $60.

*There's also the possiblity of mods messing things up.

What is the best site for Mod's?
