Personally, I think both games deserve to be played. Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. RDR isn't (so far), but it is fun as hell. If finances are a concern, fallout 3 is cheaper. If you are interested in multiplayer, RDR has it and the community is at its largest now since it was just release and fallout 3 is single player only.

If I could only play one game (for whatever reason) I would pick fallout 3.

I would pick RDR if i had the choice but there is no doubting the greatness of FO3 and at a cheap price it's a real bargain!

This is a really tough question both are great games. But I would go with Fallout 3. I have put over 100 hours in FO3, while RDR is great I do not see myself putting in anything close to that.

            Good Choice.

The first hour of the game is a little weird, but just stick with it. The game itself is so overwhelming. You can do so many things, and the world is huge in this game.

yeah that's probably the wise choice. $30 for over 100 hours of excellent gameplay + story can't be beat imo.

This. I passed on this game when it released, and finally picked it up a few months ago for $30. That's a great price for an awesome, awesome game.

I put 91 hours into it, and just beat last week. Now I'm going to play through again to get the last few achievements, make ll the opposite decisions, and hopefully see a different ending.

At this point, that's the way to go. The GOTY has been on sale new for $40 and has been around $30 used on amazon. It comes packaged with all the DLC, which if purchased separately costs $50.

Yep I am getting the GOTY edition. Hopefully this thread stays alive, as I will probably come back to ask questions.

                      Thanks!

I'll be here - hopefully, with answers.

No way. I was kinda joking. I've started it, played a number of hours, but I'm still very, very early in it.

I promise you'll get farther than me in no time. I don't have as much gaming time as I'd like.

So I was playing 99 Nights and slaughtering a bunch of innocents/children (goblin children but still children). Then I thought of Limbo. Then I was reminded of this. What was the excuse for not being able to kill children? Seems to be fine in other games.

So I looked up what I didn't like about this game before.

                                -Crappy graphics/jaggies on PS3.-
                                Gone. 1080p + ultra settings.

-Own character is decent but the rest are coming off as anamatronic robots.-
So they've been replaced by actual anamatronic robots thanks to the Terminator mod along with all the normal charcters having been significantly upgraded thanks to the "Project Beauty" mod. Also have decent hair for my character now too.

-it is all about the VATS,the severe lack of ammo,
As much as it reminds me of that Simpsons episode chasing around super mutants with a board with a nail in it is getting old.-
Martial arts/melee mod + unlimted VATS. Fixed. Optional unlimted ammo too.

Too drab, lifeless and empty/lack of decent outfits/no style
Fixed and then some (though this is the vault exit so no outfits yet):

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow:
