Thanks for the info. I was about to start the final fight and wasn't sure where the point of no return was. I've got places to go to and people to see before the game ends

when you start your second playthrough do you get to keep your character's stats and stuff or do you have to start over?

You start new, no carry over.

I'm at the end of the game playing a good character and I found it kind of funny that when the enclave killed pops, I didn't really care that much. When I found out the enclave was releasing deathclaws into the wasteland and after I visited all the non-story vaults and saw the various vault experiments, that's when I got po'd at the enclave.

If you haven't visited all the various vaults and you are into the story, definitely do so. Some interesting stuff went on at the various vaults.

All the side quests are awesome and fleshed out. It's amazing how long some of them can take you....so much fun and so much left to discover. I'm almost just level 10, halfway to the cap, wow.

I have...i wish you continue to level up to get more perks. There are so many I wanted to try out that i didn't because you only get to pick 20. I still have some side quests and tons of places I haven't discovered yet so I wish that I was still able to earn XP. Oh well...I am pretty powerful now though.

Yeah, Fawkes makes you nearly invincible. The best part is when wandering the wasteland I just let him deal with the giant scorpions. He's a great help against deathclaws too.

So, has anyone found the subquest within the fire ants quest? I stumbled on to it, and had a serious WTF moment when it ended.

I found the tape that said to find the room with the spinning light, and I opened the safe, finding the sexy lingerie. When the dude came to get it from me, I stopped for a minute and proceeded to laugh my *** off!

Yes. You got some experience, and some ant meat. If you talk to the doc again, he says "Oh well. Guess I'll have to start all over." or something along those lines. It wasn't worth it IMO. Wasted a ton of ammo to kill her, and the return was pretty minimal.

This game is definitely addictive. I've been playing quite a bit over the past few days and I'm only now getting to the radio station. Doing side quests and cleaning out raider's nests has been so much fun that I've barely touched the main quest so far.

Look up the escalator in the metro station near the entrance - it is in the ticket booth. I found the spinning light and the safe and when the guy came for the lingerie I said no. A minute later a fire ant caught the guy on fire and he died.

level 15....I've only done 14 or 15 'missions' (it tells you in load screens) I think I'm taking my time to the extreme...maybe it's time to push the story along.
