I was having that problem the first time I played. I turned off the controller, and turned on a different one and it worked fine, so I swapped back to the original controller, and it started working on that one. Haven't had any issues since.

I'm simply amazed by the imagination and quality of the story components in this game. Whether we're talking about the main quest or side quest the creative minds behind the game have really come up with some brilliant stuff.

This thread is like pure torture, the game only hit Aussie store shelves today and I cant pick it up until tomorrow. Glad I have a weekend to play, may need to call in a sickie.

This is the best next gen experience i've had thus far. There is simply SO much to do that i've all but ignored the main quest so far. I've played over 10 hours and i've hardly explored the northwest corner of the map at all. Gonna get to that later.

I don't know how to really get it across to the people that haven't played this game, but I have never played a game that gets better and better as you play. Also, I said it already, but when you are out in the wastes and nobody is with you, you just feel so alone in this game. When you finally get into a city, like Megaton its such a releif to see some sort of life.

Such a great game, already got about 9 hours into it.

For anyone who has played it and is having a tough time getting into it. Make sure to stick with it.

Man, I was a WoW addict but I forced myself away from it to play my other games like GTA 4, Socom & now this... So much gaming goodness...

Can anyone comment how much worse the PS3 version looks compared to the 360. I'm not a graphics whore but it will bother me if it's a major downgrade in visuals.

Also, is there anyone here who disliked Oblivion but liked this game?

Are the shooting mechanics similar to other FPS games (RB6:Vegas, CoD4, etc)?

Got in lots of time last night. Wow wow wow, the game gets even better the farther you get. If you guys think the waste is tough, wait until you hit the Mall. I wanted to turn around immediately and run away. I'm actually looking forward to getting out of there to take it easy in the waste.

As others have said, if you have him, leave dogmeat behind when going into tough areas or you are going to get him killed.

Just beat the main quest sort of by accident. I wasn't expecting it to be the last mission but luckily I had a save from right before so I can still finish all the sidequests. Took me 28 hours, with a bit of sidequesting and a decent amount of exploring but there is still tons of stuff to do.

I rented the PS3 version (Only one left) and it looks really good. The graphics still add to the game in this version. They are good. I am sure the onyl way to tell the difference is to play them side by side.

Is it true that once you complete the game it's over? No just hanging around and continuing to explore?

Thank you! That's all I needed to hear. Judging by some reviews it sounded like the PS3 version looked like Pitfall.
