I think this game, along with Orange Box, may convince me to finally pick up a 360.

The mutliplayer looks unreal. I love how you can upgrade and give your character special skill sets. Thats the kind of stuff that has been missing from other FPS online games on consoles.

I'm debating whether to pick this up for PC or PS3. My PC ran the demo very smoothly and I've never really gotten into multiplayer shooters...but if I got it on PC I might be inclined to do so. Its a pain in the butt to get my PS3 online these days with my current configuration.

What do you guys think?

drop grenades every time you die to potentially nix your killer if he's still too close, or pull out a pistol and squeeze off a few final rounds after you've hit the ground

Agree 100%. I think that was in the final beta update that was up for the last 3 days. Some people got there and I think bitched in this very thread about it.

Actually, I think even back then you yourself said you hope that doesn't make it in! LOL And I think I agreed with you then.

But, is it balanced so that if you get shot once or twice in a non-fatal area you can release a grenade or shoot your pistol? Or, is it when you get sniped in the head you can still manage to take down someone close by?

I never played the beta, so I don't know.

I never played the beta, so I don't know.

I think you can get sniped in the head and still have a last stand. I remember I did get sniped before and took out the sniper with my last stand. The grenade just comes out automatically when you die and I hate it with a passion. I've learned to move out but it's still annoying.

Yeah, I'm feeling a cheese fest online with that thing.

Luckily, I'm betting the single player is going to be amazing.

So when you die, he doesn't just drop a gernade? He actually throws it? if it just drops it at his feet, sounds okay to me. But, I didn't play the beta so...
