if you're going marine and marauder, why not hold off on teching up the marines, and instead rush out a starport with a reactor and some medivacs. The MMM is one of the most common terran strategies out there, and pretty easy to pull off. building medivacs and vikings at the same time seems like a waste of resources. The marines are anti-air anyway. If you're building vikings, I would assume that means you're just trying to buy time until you get cruisers.

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
Same unit capacity yes, but he has unit production double that of what either one of us had which is 'HUGE' in an RTS game, and double unit production capability for much of the match (hence his being able to quickly hit my base after our attack).
If he had wanted to he could have taken advantage of 2 different races units advantages. Most importantly though he was a protoss player who had access to a Terran economy's buildup and an expansion (in the form of the Terran base) already built. So even if he didn't want to spend the multi-tasking time of building units as barracks and other Terran structures, all he had to do was focus on using the Terran CC to work on his economy and build up the expensive but powerful protoss units.
So for the match
Unit Capacity = basically the same since I was out of the match shortly after his partner was
Unit Production Speed = He had the advantage in pure numbers, but since my friend was zerg we'll call it even
Economy rates = He had his own workers, plus the Terran Orbital Command, and an "expansion" already built
Basically the only 'disadvantage' he had was deciding what to spend all of his money on.Last edited by KSUowls; 08-23-2010, 05:52 PM.Comment

Also Colonial Line Wars is really fun."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
Balance changes coming up next month...
Wage war across the galaxy with three unique and powerful races. StarCraft II is a real-time strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment for the PC and Mac.
Basically, Zealot rushes will be made less effective and Terran is getting the nerf bat in several ways. At least that's what they're telling us for now...probably more coming.Comment

Especially on a map like steppes of war
And I'm disappointed nothing has been said about marauders yetComment
