Oh guys, I found out why I was getting my arse handed to me on Very Easy agaionst CPU. I kept doing the quick match aspect that makes the game run at very fast speed which in turn has the easy cpu going faster then normal. I finally just went to custom match and made it privat against the CPU and placed the speed on normal. Thats when it was the cake walk I expected from the CPU and allowed me to learn more of the buildings and units.

Also I noticed that I got more buildings and stuff on Single player then Multiplayer. Examples are the conceled Flame turrets and Bunker Defense guns. Just wonder if they are single player exclusive stuff?

They are single player exclusive stuff. Along with the certain upgrades available for buildings and what not, they also retained much of the old original Starcraft units as well.

I finally played some 4 v 4 online matches and they certainly are a different beast from 1 v 1. I tend to get loss between tier 2 and tier 3 when teching up in this big matches because my build order to certain units isn't in place yet. I've noticed people like to mass certain types of units (BCs, Stalkers, Thors, etc.) in these type of matches.

I tried my hand on a 1 v 1 match vs. AI on easy and came away with a simple victory by keeping the opponent at bay at their entrance (they had it well defended, but I had a good sized army preventing them from pushing down to their expansion) and got the victory by sending in Banshees on the side. I'll bump it up to normal next time, but given how badly I was off in the 4 v 4 matches, I wasn't sure how I'd fare against the computer.

I have a question. During the campaign you can train up medics. How do you do that in MP? Or can you?

You can't. Medivacs only in mp. Sp has many units that aren't offered in mp for balance reasons.

I desperately want this game, but know there is no way my Graphics card *Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD* will run it.

Does anyone know if SC1 works on Windows 7?

I am...finished my practice league and placements. Won 2 and lost 3, and I'm in Bronze.

I'll probably be on late tonight (may as well call it tomorrow morning), but I don't work as late on Sunday and will probably be playing quite a bit of SCII then.

My cousin's co-worker just so happens to be selling a GeForce 8800 Ultra for $75. Seeing as that chart mudman gave me eealier places it right alongside the Radeon HD 5750 (the one I was going to save up for) I think I'm going to jump on that deal.

I can't imagine it wouldn't. SC1 works on basically anything that still runs.

On another note, one of my roommates just got SC2. I wish so bad my computer was good enough to run it, it looks so sweet.

Man the CPU is tough. I haven't been able to launch an attack on them yet, but I've repelled them 3 times so far. Doing a lot better than my first try, but I was just learning the new units and buildings. Funny though right after I saved I saw they were about to attack again as a Viking flew over my base.

This will be plenty as long as the rest of your comp is remotely decent. Also make sure you have a pci express slot to hold it.

Check the number of scv's/drones/probes you make. Not enough is the #1 problem. That number should be a little higher if you play as zerg as you need drones to make buildings so really you should check Drones - # buildings + 1 to get a real feel for how many you had collecting resources.
