That was thursday, but yes they do send games saturdays. They ship every day the mail runs, for the most part (not 100% sure about some holidays that the mail runs).

I still try to avoid saturdays though, in my experience mail takes longer when put in the mail saturday. That's not counting sunday, before you tell me "duh mail doesn't run sunday", it seems mail picked up on saturday doesn't actually move until monday.

Well dont forget, Mario Galaxy 2 releases on Sunday.

I currently have the 2 game plan and am thinking of upgrading to the 3 game plan but so far I havent had too much difficulty getting the games I want. The beauty for me is, I missed out on so many good games like Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassins Creed 2 etc, that even if I cant get a brand new release there are still many games available that I havent played at all.

In terms of getting new releases, what I do is basically leave nothing but the game I want in my queue and clear everything out completely. If you do that then you generally will get the game you want, its not full proof but it works far more often then it doesnt.

Well I have both spots open and they haven't shipped me anything yet. hopefully I can get both of them. I was wondering how they weregoing ot do SMG2 just because of the Sunday release. Weird day to release games if you ask me.

And I finally got to go back and play through ratchet and clank so I'm right there with you on missing out on games when they originally release but being able to get them easier now when I have nothing else I want.

In my experiences you almost have to force their hand to get new releases right away. Im not sure how your queue is set up but you basically need one game in there and one game only, and that game being the new release. If you leave anything else in there you will run a major risk of getting something else as they dont have enough copies for everyone and you are basically providing them with an "out" so to speak. I got RDR because it was the only game in my queue and I returned a game on the previous Tuesday to guarantee they got it in plenty of time. Now Im shooting for UFC this Tuesday and its the only game in there and since I upgraded my account to the 3 out plan last night Ive got an empty slot so hopefully my plan continues to work. If it doesnt then no biggie as I can grab Assassins Creed 2 or Batman Arkham Asylum pretty easily and Ive never played either of those.

This is how I do it now, I noticed this back when NBA 2K10 came out.

When I had more games in my queue GF would send automatically send me the others b/c 2K10 wasn't out yet. Even though I had put it at the top only a 4 or 5 days before release they still sent me my 2nd and 3rd options instead.

So "forcing" them to send you the game is the best way to go when you really want one specific game.

Is GF still over priced? $24 for 2 games at a time a month? This is on of the main reasons why I left them a long time ago.

Yep. However, I still find value in it especially if you keep games for a long time. All the game rental spots around me are closing (mainly BB), so this is my only option if I don't wanna drop $60 for every release of interest.

i think this is a good time to have it since there's a lot of new games out right now. I just wish they were less the $20 a month for 2 games.

Well my plan didn't appear to work this week as UFC is showing low availability and its not in my shipping queue either. Kinda sucks as I would have loved to try it right away but clearly that isn't happening. Anyone else here get UFC mailed to them today?

No I didn't get it either, and this is the first time that has happened to me since I've used GF. I wonder if they're short?

For me its actually cheaper than paying $10 for a 5 day rental at the only Blockbuster near me. If Hollywood had of never closed down I wouldn't have ever thought about gamefly though since I got 3 games for $15 there.

I ended up getting Modnation Racers and Blur. Really wanted SMG2, but they didn't ever ship it when I had that space open. I'll come back to it later. I may return blur pretty quickly just to get Backbreaker though seeing as my cousin doesn't have the moeny to rent Blur from the video store and racing with him online was the only reason I got it. Glad I was able to get one of the games I wanted though. SMG2 and Backbreaker are the only things in my Q now as I don't care which one they send me. Ifeel that after those 2 games I'll finally be able to start digging into those games I missed.

Congrats. I sent Gamefly an email about availability as I noticed UFC went to low before Noon local time which is unusual as RDR went low availability late that day so I wondered if that meant they lacked inventory on it, and while the rep didnt admit it he certainly made comments that led me to believe that was the case. He also told me that they factor in length of time you have been waiting for a game and the amount of time its been since you put said game in your queue. At the end of the day I guess you need to load your queue with nothing but new releases for the next 6 months and when a game comes out you need to leave a blank spot in your queue for 5 days or so to try and guarantee that you get the game you want.

I am probably about to sign up for the trial right now. Lots of games coming out that I want to play plus a few older ones I need to catch up on. Also it is summer so I have time and shipping should be quick because I live in Tampa. Hopefully I dont have any issues.

I guess my post office now has fast return! I went on the website and they had shipped me Backbreaker even though Blur is still technically out. Mario and UFC will probably be the next two I'll try to get. I wish I had the money to buy Modnation Racers since they sell games so much cheaper on here.
