I agree, how they didnt see the demand for NCAA 09 is beyond me, and if anyone enjoys the game then they end up keeping it at the bargain "keep it" price, not that I can blame them, but then their rental stock diminishes and then its never in stock anymore. I mean seriously, how long will it take for NCAA 09 to come back in stock? If Im lucky some might give up on it when Madden hits in August, but by then I will want Madden not NCAA so that wont matter anyways. The availability sucks and the shipping times are no better.

EDIT- Apparently either a lot of people didnt like the game or they added more copies to their inventory since they went from Low Availability last night when I went to bed to Available Now on the PS3, so they are now sending it to me today and I should have it by Monday of next week, hopefully it doesnt suck.

If you can deal with the occasional frusterations like not getting a game at the top of your queue when it comes out, ie. NCAA 09 this week for me, or the shipping times which seem to fluctuate from 2-4 days then its a no brainer. I have NCAA, it was a brand new copy from them and the keep it price on that is 47.99 and they will send me the manual and case for free if I decide to keep it. I decided to keep Lego Indiana Jones from them and it worked out well. There are perks, the longer you are there the more you get, Im on level 2 which I believe is after a year and you get 5% off the game prices, so I can keep NCAA for 45.59 and I get 5 Gamefly Dollars every 3 months so I can actually get NCAA 09 for 40.59 if I wanted, that certainly offsets the monthly fee imo.

I always get the games on the day that are released, always have you just gotta just have an open spot(heck i've even just got an open spot added that day and got it), and do not have games that are out now on your queue, thats how I do it when theres a game I want, and I very rarely have more than the 3 games on my spot that I want that are out on my queue. I love gamefly, been a member for like 18 months.

I think what he's trying to say (much like me) is that the Gamefly experience is different for everyone. For me, it's been great. I receive games within 2 days after they ship. For example, NCAA 09 shipped the day it was released (on a Tuesday) and I had it on Thursday. I think it really depends on which distribution you get whether or not it'll be slow or not. But for me (and the 2+ years I've been there), it's gotten nothing but better. It's better to only put games that you want shipped to you in your queue. Don't put multiple games that are available in your queue and wonder why they ship the lower game (it usually comes down to which one is least popular). If there is one particular game that I want, I clear my queue list and make them send that. It usually works for me (and others).

Not unless you sign in with completely different information, if you use a different email and a different credit card then you might be able to use it.

I've been using GameFly for about 6 months now, and I enjoy it. I used to have a service called GamezNFlix, which was amazing. Prices were good, delivery was fast. Then one day they just kinda up and died. I literally didn't get anything from my queue for 2 weeks.

So I went with GameFly, even though their prices are high, and I enjoy it. You get what you pay for. I do agree they need better stock though of the more popular games.

I got the 4-game out plan, which is about $40 a month, pretty good in my eyes. I equate the prices to that vs Blockbuster. Renting a game from Blockbuster costs about $9, around there. At that point, if you wanna rent 4 games a month, that'll be about $40 for only 4 games. With GameFly, a solid $40 a month fee for 4-games out at a time, you can be looking up to playing atleast 12 games a month for the same price as renting only 4 alone at Blockbuster.

Gamefly is getting better about stocking more of the popular games quickly when they see the demand is there. What they need to do is get more shipping centers on the West Coast, having one in California to supply the entire west coast is a little ridiculous, and I assume California is also used to cover states such as Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Denver, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming etc, so they are always struggling to keep on top of things it seems.

I'm resurrecting an old thread I started, but those in the Chicago area, are you getting games quicker off of your que now that there are more hubs?

I'm not in Chicago (obviously), but I'd suspect that the shipping times would be similar between our two cities considering distance from Pittsburgh. Anyway, at first it cut about a day off of the total turnaround time from when the only hub was in California (3 days instead of 4). Lately, though, it's been about as bad as it was when it was at it's worse going to California. It's been taking 4-5 days for them to get my games, but games from them are still the same 3 days they've always been.

Gamefly is starting to piss me off again..........ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! It's like the honeymoon stage is so great with them and then after 2 weeks the same nonsense starts all over again. My first 2 weeks, I would mail a game(s) back on Wednesday and Thursday they would ship out immediately with the game(s) delivered on Saturday.

I shipped 1 game back on Monday and its Thursday, they still do not show as the game having been delivered to them. I just do not get this at all with them. I got a good deal for the first 2 months, so once that is over with, I might just cancel if this continues.

Mine was bad, last straw I had put a game in the mail and two weeks later nothing had shipped. After I complained they eventually gave me 5 gamefly dollars, all I really wanted was for them to acknowledge that over two weeks was way too long for them to ship a new game, but they never did. After that, though, it magically went back to normal (3 days to them, 3 days back to me) and it's been pretty much fine ever since (I do still occasionally have a game take a couple extra days to them). It could have all been coincidence, but I have my doubts.
