I preordered at TRU and when I got there, they sold out. all they had were preorders Left. Used the gift card on The Simpson's game for the Wii.

Might have been answered before but how do the controls work? Do you have to wave the controller all over the place to play the game or is it more just button presses and using the D-Pad to move the character around?

You use the nunchuk to move around and just use the pointer to help gather stars or jump, etc.

You also use it to spin, as well as press B to shoot the dust stars you've collected.

This game is ****ing incredible, I won't be touching my 360 till January. I'm getting 120 stars..that's for DAMN sure.

I've completed the first two galaxies (Goose Egg and Bee World) loving every minute of it. Great game.
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

I'm halfway through bee world and this is so addictive. It's nice not to shoot or stab something for once lol.

I just keep wanting to get stars, and at first I was like "whoa, these controls are trippy" but you get used to how the gravity works etc, it's awesome.

this game is freaking awesome. i'm addicted. The only reason why I quit is because the time on my Wii said it was almost 1 am when it was only 12am.

I had to stop because it was midnight and i've gotta get up at 6:30...I need some sleep (and will take me a while to fall asleep). I just keep wanting to get more stars. Every level has felt different so far, the controls are intuitive, and the difficulty is just right (not too easy, not too hard).

You guys realize how long it took me to get the star in between that big star-shaped planet thing? The one where you have to get in the middle of the two stars and reach across.

I have never felt like a bigger idiot playing a videogame than when I realized that's what you had to do.

                        Re: Super Mario Galaxy

The game is amazing to look at, just seeing the opening story-building scenes I could already tell this game would be on a different level than Sunshine(which was a very fun game in it's own right).

I've played the prelim. stuff and I've gotten two stars on the first galaxy(Goose Egg?) then I had to give it up for the night. The controls are definitely going to take some getting used to for me. I haven't used the Wii for much outside of sports and Super Paper Mario, so the whole nunchuck movement control is going to take some more time for me to get used to. I feel find of sluggish going through the game now, but I'm sure once I get the controls down a bit better that I will really start to get addicted to the game.

I don't know if it's only the early levels, but the change from big, open worlds to a series of small planets definitely gives the game a different feel. I'm not sure I'm totally used to the new design, but I hope I will start to get into it more after a few more sessions.

I believe that as long as the firmware matches, you can swap game saves between systems.
