This looks absolutely incredible. I can't believe that was running that smoothly on 360... looked like a PC game!
Hopefully they are being honest with this running equally as well on all systems. I'm officially pumped for this!Comment

Umm....WOW.
I was completely uninterested in this before, as Fallout (3 and the upcoming NV) and Borlerlands have given me all I can handle in the post-apocalyptic genre. But this just looks silly good.
I do have to say that there is something about this genre (post-apocalyptic) that just draws me in. Needless to say, with New Vegas this fall (FO3 was my favorite next gen game) and then Rage sometime next year, i'll be in gaming heaven.Comment

Video of Rage on the iPhone
During his keynote speech at QuakeCon 2010, id Software's John Carmack demonstrated Rage on the iPhone, running at 60 frames-per-second and able to "kill anything done on the Xbox or PlayStation 2."
Carmack's demonstration, using the id Tech 5 engine, could possibly be the most impressive tech we've seen on the iPhone. Running on the iPhone 4 but easily run on the 3GS, the visuals indeed rivaled anything from the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox, and might even be able to give a few current-gen titles a run for their money.
The first Rage game for the iPhone will be a small "show-off" sort of title, with a larger game due out next year to coincide with the big game's release.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Rage Finally Has A Date
id Software's next big shooter, Rage, built on its next big engine, id Tech 5, now has a ship date. Get ready to wait a little longer for Rage, for it won't be out until September 2011.
The PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game will ship in North America on September 13, 2011.

Damn, a whole year to wait? That sucks. However I am very excited to play it. ID's first new IP in 15 years! (yeah I read that today, so what). :wink:Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Rage (iD Software's new FPS using their Tech-5 Engine)
I think it's more interesting how the id tech 5 engine is now exclusive to the bethesda/zenimax umbrella. It's a multiplatform engine that runs 60 fps and at 720p. It should really make their titles stand apart, and Oblivion or Fallout using it would be glorious.Comment

I was kind of hoping this would be an open world RPG (I guess I was expecting Fallout) but I'm still excited for this game regardless, finally a new FPS though. I'm getting sick of COD.Comment
