this game is pretty impressive. Good fun. I don't personally have a problem with the length of the game. I buy a lot of games which means I don't finish a lot of them. Mostly a sports gamer so this is a filler between madden, which I've done a couple seasons, and nba 2k8. This gives me something to look foward to every day while nba2k8 tortures me...So Im playing a level a day, which has been just about an hour per sit down. For me this is adequate, because the game is outstanding and makes me want to keep playing it. So in between a game of ncaa and heavenly sword thats the couple hours of gaming I get in. If your a person with a lot of time for gaming it may be only worth the rental. But it is at least worth that. great game.

Aside from heavy Sixaxis support (use the aftertouch in the Dawn Siege section of Chapter 1 or a gong puzzle in Chapter 2, and tell me it's still the "sux"axis), remapped controls, and smooth branching animations..this really does feel similar to God of War, but also feels fresh.
The combat system is much, much more fluid than GOW or GOW2. You can mix things up in God of War pretty easily, but the animations in HS do it so seamlessly. The only knock, so far, is how to perform an aerial combo. From a range stance (L1), you hit triangle & yank the sixaxis up. Once I master it, I'll probably love it, but the fast pace gives you a small window.
The lip-motion tracking is unreal in this game. It's like going from a dubbed kung-fu flick to the real deal.
I'm confused about unlockables, though. I've had 100+ hit combos, and still had only two medals on a section. I know the glowing pots/health add to the meter, but eh..who knows.
Heavenly Sword and Halo 3 are two excellent games to jump start the best quarter of the year.D E S E R V E_V I C T O R YR.I.P. Sean Taylor (1983-2007), a True CaneComment

You can turn off the six axis and use the analog stick instead.Comment

Expect Heavenly Sword to add-on to the game to increase its length

Re: Heaven Sword Review IGN
I finally got to play this game (sometimes getting something for free stinks  )
Anyways, its amazing. The controls are fluid, the voice acting is spot on, and the cutscenes are some of the most beautiful graphics that I have seen for the PS3. It feels as though I am watching a movie, but getting to play it as well.
I have completed the first 2 chapters and can't wait to get home from work tomorrow night and play some more.
BTW, how many chapters are in the game?I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Heaven Sword Review IGN
I saw none, that's why I've already returned it. Depending on if you want to unlock all the extras and play through Hell mode it will give you a bit of replay value. The true replay value will depend on what the DLC will be.Comment

Re: Heaven Sword Review IGN
when playing the mode "To Kill A Fox" in Chapter 4, how in the hell do you get the Heavenly Pots off the ledges? I have been stuck at this point for about a day and I am really getting pissed. Please help.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Didn't mean to sound like you were. Just explaining why I returned it. It's a great game and hopefully they will come out with some great DLC to make me rent or buy it again.Comment
