        Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)

I just tried to tune some convertible I found with whatever I can. It became so much faster and I was able to handle my car while going about 90 MPH on some roads until I crossed an intersection with a car passing by and smashed into them. Also, when I went to rob the diner and basically just ate everything and robbed the register I was able to run away from the cop on foot by hopping fences. When I came back to the diner, the cops were there talking to the lady. The lady yells, "there he is!", or something similar and the chase resumed.

There's a benchmark option to test your settings out. The Physx setting slowed my game down so I left it off. Didn't notice a major difference with it off. My average FPS is around 45-50.

            Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)

I have found all 5 mags, 3 were in shops (clothing, gun and one restaurant), 1 was in your house and the last is in the warehouse sitting on a stack of boxes on the top floor.

It's a great demo, but I'm kind of baffled by the time limit. Anybody that wants to play this more than 10 minutes isn't likely to be pleased not exploring the rest of the game. I did think I fund a way to get passed the demo boundary, a car will inch most of the way through backwards, but when you get out it pops you back on the other side.

The time limit doesn't make sense since they have boundry's but you can just die and reset the timer. I played for 2 hours last night without stopping the demo.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

                        Re: Mafia II (PS3/360)

I hit an odd glitch, I was trying to run each car to top speed, got turned around and ended up skidding into one of the demo borders. A cop chasing me pinned my car in, so I stole his cop car (it looks like you can't keep a cop car in game, you can't clean it at the body shop and you can't keep it in your garage). I opened it up on the best straight shot I found to get cars to full speed, the 4 lane highway to the long elevated section. I was up around 100 mph on the overpass when my car was suddenly thrown sideways. It acted like a demo border where there wasn't one. I didn't get a chance to do much more than die, I was stuck between the invisible border and the pile up behind me with the cops on automatics.

I wish there was something like that in real life, to punish overspeeding drivers.

I don't think it's something anyone should be worried about at the moment since it is a demo. Hopefully, it doesn't show up in the finished product.
