well i cant beat him up since he is a football player and on roids. but I told him about my controller and he just kept saying that its his and that the games save on the disc. he is not smart enough to delete the stuff. but he probably hid the system. also I dont think he is dumb enough to steal it but he probably bought it from some guy off the streets

So, some stranger broke into your room and took your 360 (only?) and then, coincidentally, met and sold it to your roommate?

Although it is a small world... but if my friend got a Xbox stolen and a day later some dude tried to sell me a Xbox off the street I would put two together.

he said he won a 360 at the fair(about a month after mine was stolen), plus his friend has a 360 as well. Now im definate he has something to do with it.

alright now I know he is involved. I had ikea batteries in my controller and guess what I looked at the batteries and ikea batteries are inside. No coincidence.

Not too sure what your still doing posting about what to do man......I would be calling the campus police already.

Don't think games saves and profiles will warrant it as stolen. You will need more proof then that like matching serial numbers.

Plus if he does call the campus police it will just lead to an investigation and bad blood between him and the room mate for the time being.

The serial number will. It's tied to the 360 first time you go on Live. So if he's been on Live, they know the serial number.

The thief stole it and sold it to ebay. The fair bought it off ebay to raffle off a used system. Just so happens his room won the USED system. Small world.

he has two in there, one is his friends and one is "his" when I went to look at the serial numbers he shut the door for a few moments and probably switched the 360s and hid the other one. I dont want to go in there and ask to look at the other one because he is starting to get pissed at me and I dont feel like getting into an argument or a fight.
then when I told him about the batteries he said who the hell looks at the batteries. and I told him I got them at Ikea so they were distinctive. and I knew it was my controller because I just know, with all the dirt marks and white stuff underneath the sticks. I dont want to bring the cops in it yet, because I dont want it to be awkward for the next week.

I had something similar like this happen to me except it was one of the RA's that stole my laptop. I obviously called the cops when it happened and there wasn't much they could do at the time except for when this ******* came back into my room a couple days later trying to steal more ****... little did he know I was still in my bed and saw him try to take something. Anyway.. I called the cops again, they searched his room and found my laptop and some other stolen items from other people.

So dude, call the cops or get someone involved that can do something.

You don't need to talk to this dude anymore, because that 360 isn't going to be around any longer if he thinks you are going to call the cops. You need to call the cops, get it on record, and have some kind of proof other than batteries when they get there. And do it soon because that 360 will be gone if he suspects you are going to do something about it.
