Man that sucks. The worst thing one of my roommates ever stole was my girlfriend's half-eaten Chipotle burrito. And he left our door unlocked and some guys broke into our house, but another roommate came home, so they didn't get away with anything.

I would call campus police. You may not be able to look at it again to get the serial number and he may try to get it out of your place. If on the small chance you're wrong, you could always move out.

Please keep up up-to-date on what happens. Hope you get your 360 back.

Yeah, you probably made him suspicious now and he's going to move it somewhere you can't get to. You had enough to bring in an outside party and you might have missed your chance now.

I'd be so pissed if someone took something from me like that. It's a $400 machine, not a magazine or something. At this point, I'd probably get into a, "I know that's my 360, so give it back and we're cool. Don't give it back and I go to the police."

The serial number will. It's tied to the 360 first time you go on Live. So if he's been on Live, they know the serial number.

But then again, maybe the thief stole the 360 and donated it to charity at a fair, who then raffled it off to his buddy.

That's true, too. If my 360 got stolen, I'd do more than just go buy a new one. What did you do when it turned up missing? Was anything else stolen?

Wow..this guy has some huge ones man. I don't know your situation, but you sound like you are scared or something. This guy has zero repsect for you...plain and simple. You need to figure out whatever pull you have (friends, cops..admin..etc) and use it. This is simply a joke to let a guy push you around like this.

Pretty bad situations Dallas. My brother had a PSOne stoleen from him by his roommate a few years ago. Like most people have been saying, I would get the cops involved now before it's too late.

my 2 other roomates got their 360s stolen too. we reported it right away and I got everything back with insurance. He had his stuff stolen too, while he was at a football game.

he has two in there, one is his friends and one is "his" when I went to look at the serial numbers he shut the door for a few moments and probably switched the 360s and hid the other one. I dont want to go in there and ask to look at the other one because he is starting to get pissed at me and I dont feel like getting into an argument or a fight.
then when I told him about the batteries he said who the hell looks at the batteries. and I told him I got them at Ikea so they were distinctive. and I knew it was my controller because I just know, with all the dirt marks and white stuff underneath the sticks. I dont want to bring the cops in it yet, because I dont want it to be awkward for the next week.

dude, I know it's your business, so go about it however you want. from what you've said, the guy has your 360, you are afraid to call the cops, and are instead snooping around making him suspicious. kiss your 360 goodbye, as even a moron would know to get rid of it now.

I don't get why you are concerned about making the situation with living with a thief awkward. He stole from you, and has it, and you're worried about huritng his feelings. Amazing.
