    Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)

Can you actually arrest these people on the side missions or do you have to shoot them all? In the spirit of the game I'm trying to take them alive.

Rating system seems a bit messed.
    All clues,missed 2 questions = 3 stars
    Missed 1 clue,missed half the questions = 3 stars
    That doesn't add up.

One thing I've learned from L.A. Noire is that to be a cop in the 1940's you ran more than an Olympic track runner

        Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)

Is it even fair for Rockstar to be associated with yet another game of this caliber? I don't want to stop playing, but I don't want it to end.

Rockstar and Team Bondi, come up with a very complex system that makes cases daily that are not just your generic case, but are as detailed as the later cases.

I hope we see those two or three desks left out in DLC. This game has tons of potential for DLC and I am willing to buy it all.

Hopefully it's better supported than another awesome game of mine that I loved with so much unrealized potential: Heavy Rain

Did you cause any damage, injuries or deaths? I think those get accounted for too.

That's exactly what I was going to comment. All that $ that racks up at that screen that shows "Case Closed" count against your overall star rating.

Hey guys I am going to play my copy sometime tonight. Not to spoil me or others who have not played the game. Are there cases that make you think "Well thats messed up, how they died" Because it seems that GTA is a much more mild game compared to this. And is it too graphic for my kids to watch me play the game. Would you let your kids either play this game or watch.

Oh BTW, I found something else out about the case we were talking about.

I know once you get to the Homicide desk (which is about 6 or 7 cases in I think), it's definitely not a good idea to have kids around.

Even before then I don't think I'd bother having them around either if you're concerned about swearing and violence.

Make sure there's no kids around when you go to a crime scene...as for the language, there is a subtitle option so you can go ahead and mute it.

nolesfan - it's mostly the language from my experience that would be an issue, lots of the "F" word being thrown around...but then I just started homicide so maybe it gets worse from there as well...

Finally started up a couple of hours ago, just got to the traffic desk, and am working the first case there. So far, I'm killing it in the interrogation scenes. I love that I can make my partner drive, driving has always been my least favorite part of Rockstar games, so its obvious that I don't love GTA games.

I guess that I'm going to have to start driving the car myself if I want to do the side missions.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Depends on how old your kids are and what your standards are and how much they pay attention to what is happening in the story. I mean, you are investigating murders and stuff. Some of the other subject matter that doesn't even involve murder is pretty bad,
