I think this game messed up my PS3. I read the reports of it happening to older PS3 models, but rented it anyway. Now my PS3 turns off slower, and it freezes on every game I play. Not mad, but im pissed. I havent been playing my PS3 much since March.

You mean 2 year old PS3's are dying and getting yellow lights just like how 2 years after launch many of the first consoles were getting them?! Just like how launch PS2's got DRE's after 2 years? I'm ever so shocked! *Use intution point* (Hint: Not the games fault.)

Strange. I got a launch 20GB PS3 and havent had any problems with this game.

how do u go back to find newspapers u missed?

I'm pretty sure they're only available during cases, so you'll have to do the cases for those newspapers again.

Damn you put in some work. I've only done 10 cases so far.

For real, The hardest thing is the cars. Some you can only get a certain spots even though they arent marked as hidden

You gotta redo the whole case until you find it. You can quit right after you find it though

Launch 60gb PS3 and no problems either.


I found 3 more cars last night during my first two Arson cases, so I'm up to 82 now. I have a feeling those last 10 or so are going to be a pain, hopefully I'll find them as I track down those reels though, I haven't found any of those.

Here is what I found

Here is what to do if you are crashing or freezing in L.A. Noire:

1. Delete your L.A. Noire Game Data (not save data) from the PS3 Game Data Utility. If on 360, clear the 360 cache.

2. Create a new temporary PS3 user to ensure that new save files are created. If on 360, create an offline Silver Gamertag.

3. Launch the game and try again. If you are on PS3, try playing while signed out of PSN.

4. Check your disc for scratches, dust, dirt, or other damage. Clean if necessary.

5. Check other game discs in your PS3/360 to see if issues are occurring in other games, suggesting a potential console problem.

6. Try your L.A. Noire disc in a different console or try a different L.A. Noire disc in your console to determine with certainty whether the issue could be with the disc or console, rather than the software.

7. If your console is overheating, try moving it to a more ventilated area or contact Sony/Microsoft for further console troubleshooting.

I'm on Golden Butterfly right now. Since I've heard nothing but how difficult it is, it's the case I'm going for the damages achievement. I swear, if I don't have 100K in damages after this case, I'll be amazed. There's not a car, bench, lamp post, or human I've not hit when taking the long way to each stop. LOL

old 40gb ps3 and I haven't had any issues..


also, are the reels hidden throughout the city or are they usually on the crime scene or the areas that you investigate ?

40G. I honestly dont know what happened. But, I cant play ANY game without it freezing and overheating quickly. It probably wasnt the game because I did have it for 4 years. but it was in GREAT condition and I dont really play my game alot at all. Before LA Noire and since Feb., I only played my PS3 once every 4-7 days. I didnt even played LA Noire that much. I given up on trying to play LA Noire(I might rent it again months from now and play it on someone elses ps3), but I cant play anything else. But I am already over it I dont play my game like that anyway. I just hope it is good by the time NCAA 12 comes out

Awesome.

As I said on twitter, this game will take me a few weeks to plow through (just in time for the DLC) due to me having 2 small children at home and an early bed time. But it's making the experience all that greater.

I loved GTA, but I'm trying to be hopeful that now GTA can live up to LA Noire, not the other way around.
