Just Got Promoted to Vice, figured it was a good place to stop for the night.

Took me about 10 hours of gameplay time, and im sitting about 45% complete. (mainly focusing on the main storyline this time through)

Having a good ole time playing through it, and it's a great experience, but like others have said, aside from the main missions, it is a boring game. Event the street crimes leave a lot to be desired. There is no depth to those at all, are very short, and some have even been over in a matter of a min for me. I mean, I did one street crime and it was talking a guy off the ledge. Lame. I'm sorry...but lame. Main story is BA though.

I would give it a 7.5 to 8. Only because I feel like once I finish the main cases, I literally have nothing to do. I was taking my time at first, but just as another said, today I just felt like getting the game over with so I can move onto other back logged games I have.
I've certainly enjoyed the game as I played through the entire story but I don't see it as this goty candidate like so many others have said it was. Im really getting tired of the guessing game that goes along with trying to collect everything. If I want to know what cars I'm missing then I have to go look it up elsewhere online and then just roam around until I can find it. I can't see what guns I've fired for that trophy so I've got to basically guess. I would think that they could have provided this info on the social network website at the very least but I guess not.

I just had a what I thought was a funny moment. I was just driving along, and as I'm doing so, I look up to read a Large banner that says' "Keep L.A safe, Drive Safe". And as I'm doing so I don't see the car stopped just a few feet ahead and end up crashing my car into it, with my cars front end lodged on the other cars roof.

          Talk about Irony.

I wish I were able to switch guns too. Maybe you can...but I have not been able to yet. I want to go in with a shotgun sometimes to take the guys down. I was able to do it very early on in the game for one Street Crime it seemed, but since then nothing.

This may be the first Rockstar title that I didn't want to anoint with GOTY. Red Dead, GOTY, GTAIV wasn't really GOTY for me, but it was more fun just because of the stuff I was able to do. This game is extremely linear, even more so than I had originally anticipated. More and more people are seeing how limited this game is when it comes to playing it again. Aside from DLC, there is nothing to do after you beat it. Why would you want to go back through and play cases over again when you already know the outcome, and how to get there? Like I said, no replay value at all, and from what I read here, and other sites, others say the same. But....I am thoroughly enjoying playing through it.

From what I can tell, the only way to do that is to kill a bad guy and take their gun. I'm not sure if you can pop the trunk in any other firefight scenario.

That's what I have seen as well. I just pick up a shotty from a guy I shot if I want one. But then again I haven't had many scenarios where there are shoot outs....so far.

So I was looking at the wiki entry for this game and apparently Rockstar is already thinking of this game in terms of a franchise. There's also talk that the facial scan technology may likely be expanded to be a full body scan so that all movements and such will be real actors.

                    Interesting if true....

Anybody have a strategy or a guide to finding all of the cars, other than going through the game all over again and just hopping into every car in the crime scene?

Anybody else think it'd be pretty sweet if the game had co-op? Either a whole new set of cases or something as simple as a friend coming in and controlling your partner.

It would be cool if a friend could cross examine a suspect with you. Word is they want to make this game a franchise. So I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that in the future.

This is on many of the marquees.
                            Main character is named Elsa.

Don't click those unless you've done the missions of the same names.

I hear you but the game obviously dipped into rockstars comfort zone.

If it was absolutely not trying to be a sandbox game, than driving between missions/scenes was absolutely unnecessary. That is strictly a sandbox attribute.

If you cant see where the game acts as a sandbox title, then so be it.
