It's true. That's probably why I am reading so many mixed reviews, with the majority of them being that this game is a bit overrated, which I agree with. I think I expected a lot more in the way of other things to do outside of the main cases...which there really isn't and is such a shame considering the massive game world they created. If people want to tell me that it wasn't supposed to be a sandbox title then ok, but when Rockstar is a part of it, and a game world as big as this exists in the game, there should very well be a lot more to do. I literally have not even gone into the other 2/4, or maybe 3/4 of the map cause there just really is nothing enticing me to do so.

Yeah they are...I'm only on Homicide right now, and I'm to the point I don't even feel like doing them they are so boring. They each take maybe a minute to complete and most so far have all been the same. I mean, I talked a guy off the ledge the last one I did. I mean really...I was just there to talk a guy off a ledge from jumping? Boring.Comment

I understand where you are coming from, but I would like to know what exactly is interesting in GTA IV? Was it bowling or going to the comedy club with you friends?Yeah they are...I'm only on Homicide right now, and I'm to the point I don't even feel like doing them they are so boring. Was it searching for pigeons? Was it stealing cars and driving them back to a garage?
To me, the side missions in LA Noire are not any more mind numbing then some of GTA's side missions.
Again, I keep hearing they should do something, but what exactly do you want them to do?
Do you want to go and kill a bunch of innocent civilians?Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I got to the Black Caeser case and reached a point where I didn't feel like playing this anymore. I just got back from trading it in. Good game but I got tired of looking for clues and the repetitive nature of cases. I still stick by my 8/10 score despite getting bored with it.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
To be quite honest I can't put my finger on it. I didn't go around killing the pigeons in GTA, and I said earlier in this thread I liken that to going around getting dumb film reels and finding the cars. There was just more to do in GTA that kept my interest. I enjoy just going off at times driving cars around, crashing them, taking out my guns doing damage, and then in the MP of GTA, or even RDR you can go free roam with other players and just cause chaos which was fun too.I understand where you are coming from, but I would like to know what exactly is interesting in GTA IV? I just feel like there is something missing in this game. I have had a fun doing the main cases, but past that, I don't feel like there is nearly anything else to do.Comment

Wow! You traded the game in just like that? Were you at least interested in the story? This is the first time that I read that someone decided to trade in the game, especially before completing it.I got to the Black Caeser case and reached a point where I didn't feel like playing this anymore. I'd like to finish the game first before I list anything they could have done betterComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I traded mine in today as well. I had just reached the vise desk and had zero desire to keep playing. Gamestop game me $25 for it so I picked up NBA2k11 for $26.99. So yeah I ended up paying $61.99 for NBA

I love the story and the characters and am actually enjoying them more on my second run through. I can see how the game could be repetitive if I didn't like or wasn't interested in the story, but I love the set up of the whole game. It's an interactive narrative and I greatly enjoy all the themes, plots, and sublties. It sucks not everyone can dig on the game, but its my favorite game of this generation thus far.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm not considering trading it until I beat the game, but there's something about reaching the Vice desk, lol. It almost felt like the Homicide cases should have been the end of the game.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
