Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
1. Do the side mission called Hot Property,it's on the arson desk. Get out and get into the first car that crashes.
2. It's at the army base.
3. Just cause some crashes and one should come along.
I have them all and still have 0 film reels.Comment

Am I the only one who found Monroe hard to read? His eyes appeared to always be closed.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Spoiler on my thoughts of the next dlc
SpoilerI have all my money on the major DLC being about John Kelso (New DA Investigator) involved with bringing down the Vice squad by order of the new District Attorney as hinted at the end of the game. I really dont want anything to do with Cole Phelps again. My least favorite Rockstar protagonist.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I've missed a couple questions on cases and still gotten 5 stars. Make sure you're being extra careful when driving around the city (or just have your partner drive for you).Just finished "The Silk Stocking Murder".
Spoiler
I came so close to finally 5-starring a case. I got 17/17 clues , but only 11/13 on the questions. I messed up in the first interrogation involving the older woman. I nailed everything else. Rusty or whatever the douche bag partner of mine's name is.. continues to be dismissive of the fact that the murders have been too easy to solve and seem to be linked. I think it's pretty obvious they are and has something to do with the corruption"Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I think you nailed it on the head there. The last part of the game pretty much points in that direction. Another reason why this makes perfect sense is because of my reactions and what I think the makers were going for with the conclusion of this gameSpoiler on my thoughts of the next dlc

End of Game thoughts:
SpoilerI can see why there's been some complaints about the ending. The ending reminds me of a lot of '40s crime and noir films in that the protagonist is either a guy with a lot of rough edges or someone who seriously has so many flaws that due to the censors and such at the time has to die. This is pretty much the way it's done with Cole Phelps.
I can see why he's not liked, he's seriously flawed, is a bit of a glory hound and will step over people in order to achieve what he sets out to do. He's also not above cheating on his wife and then using the woman he's sleeping with in order to bring down the entire corrupt LA power structure. He shows poor manners and is a bit of a bastard when it comes to his former army mates especially Kelso at times. In the end though he finally, much too late saw that he's left a wave of destruction and dead bodies in his wake. At the moment of his death he probably thought that by bringing down the corruption of the city that he could once again start anew and be a better person. Unfortunately for him, Karma is a bitch.
I really enjoyed this game and I actually came away impressed that Team Bondi and Rockstar lived up to the crime/noir theme right up to the very structure and conclusion of the final 3rd of the game
BTW for those who didn't finish the game I urge you to sit through the entire credits as you get a flashback that's worth watching. I really think with some trimming and a more focused script this would make a great movie.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I've made it up to Vice Desk, then went back and did all the street crimes. Favorite character so far is Captain Donnelly.Comment
