I nearly lost my sanity this weekend trying to find all of the cars. I would suggest no one does it unless you hate being a sane, rational human being.

No, you cannot skip the introduction cutscene or any cutscenes that occur directly before or during an interrogation. It's really annoying if you have played the case through twice, but just need to improve one interrogation to get 5-stars.Comment

I was very disappointed with LA Noire. In my opinion, it was a waste of money. Way too many cut scenes and not enough game play. Graphics were great (not disputing that) but overall was totally unhappy with the title.Comment

I wouldn't say it was a waste of money for me because I enjoyed it for what it was. They clearly wanted to show off the new tech with this game, hopefully the sequel will focus more on gameplay..Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
One thing to think about however is if it took 3 entire disc for the game as it is now, how in the world will they be able to pull off keeping just as much content and expanding on gameplay as well?
Seems like if we were to get a more sandbox experience than they may have to sacrifice the story or cases for the next one. Either that or kill some of the graphical polish which would be stupid cause the graphics are one of the games main selling points.
And lets all pray that they neglect multiplayer. That'll definitely make the next game under the 10 hour range.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

But seriously,
Even If they dont add a open world with random crimes etc, multiplayer and the ability to go to a peep show...
I'll be happy with a non linear story, more suspense and action, the ability to jump (geez I never though chasing someone could be so boring) or just add some sort of button sequence like the Saw game has.
Anything less than that would be a rental for LA Noire 2...Last edited by Jukeman; 06-06-2011, 05:29 PM.Comment

I ended up trading this in yesterday. I just couldn't get into the game. It was to boring for me.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I've been enjoying this game, for what it's worth up to this point...nothing great, but it's kept my attention. But it has now gone completely boring on me. Arson is the worst desk ever so far. I find myself checking my email while playing this now, that's how boring it's gotten to me.
hopefully, like some others have said, the 3rd Arson case or so picks up a bit. But I'm not spending any money on this game for DLC or anything. Glad I was able to play this go through for free as it isn't worth it to me.Comment

This isn't an action game, why would you need the ability to jump. (not attacking you just a reference to earlier in this thread) No jump really hasn't affected me much except for the odd time where I'm stuck running into a cardboard box or a wall that stops at my knees.
I finished Vice about 5 days ago and I must say that I've hit a wall and haven't played it since. Where this game falls short for me is actually the story. I hate the fact that you can get every question wrong and still get the right guy.
Studio Secretary MurderSpoilerFor example in the Studio Secretary Murder while questioning the suspects I literally got every question wrong, then the game's like it's ok we got your back and I get a phone call talking about a suspects criminal record so I go back to question him, get 1 question right and SHAZAM I got him
Like others have said, for a sequel they should have it where you can get either the right guy, the wrong guy, or nobody at all. Then during your next case you should at least hear about the previous case. For example if I press charges against the wrong guy, then maybe Cpt. Donelly should tell me I messed up and make me do some street case type mission to work my way back to the story cases.Originally posted by slickdtcI'd ride his bus, that's all I'm saying.

Spoiler
Considering that was a part of homicide desk, none of those guys were the right guys anyway, so yeah.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I have one Arson case left to complete and I've finished the main storyline. These cases are terrible thrown in at the end......really should have been incorporated earlier with the story being re-written. I think I know where they are going with the ending, but very poor way to get there with these Arson cases. They just felt like no real effort at all.
Overall this was an enjoyable game so far, but I do dislike all the collectibles which seem like a total PITA to find.Comment

You're right, I forgot about that. Well either way I got the guy I was supposed to get in that situation even though I screwed up the questioning.Originally posted by slickdtcI'd ride his bus, that's all I'm saying.
