LA Noire doesn't use RAGE, it is Team Bondi's engine, that's not to say they won't license it for GTA 5 but I doubt it. I doubt they would license Lightsprint as well. They could license MotionSense, but who knows what effects all that animation info will have on an action oriented game like GTA.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I wonder if it will even have a "punch" button? I mean if the game is focused around talking to people, finding clues etc they might not even have fighting type controls in this game? It could make it very interesting to see the reaction of people who blind buy it thinking it's "GTA in the 1940's" to say the least. The new tech looks great with the facial animations. I wonder if all the NPC's will have the same face tech though.
As exciting as the new tech is, I am also looking forward to see how they handle this open world urban setting.
How much will the linear approach change the exploring aspect of the open world? I wonder if you can even start a random fire fight on the street with you being a cop and all and what the repercussions of your actions will be? Jailed for excessive force?
I have been waiting a long time to see a new cop detective game. The point and click adventure Police Quest was the last time I played that role. It's going to be interesting to read more and I can't wait.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm betting that a significant number of people will. Think about the massive amount of people that won't read a preview article or anything of that sort. Just think about if you just watched the trailers, and I assume the commericials in Rockstar inevitable marketing blitz will be similar to these two trailers we've got. It would seem like it is 1940's GTA.I wonder if it will even have a "punch" button? Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Hopefully Rockstar will come through with my game of the year two years in a row. Unlike last year however, this year it will have to match up with Elder Scrolls.
Should be a great year for games."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

I look at that box art and I think of a cross between Dragnet and The Untouchables.
I'll have to peruse the improved site sometime.

That's assuming GTA 5 exists.
I know, I know....it does, but it's taking forever for an announcement. Hopefully it's finally announced at this year's E3. I need some new GTA in my life.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

oh i cant wait to play this. game looks so cool. i think im going to gamefly this though because i really dont see the replay value in this game unless there going to come out with a ton of DLC.

True, but at the same time Rockstar makes such high quality games that I think it will be worth the purchase like it always is.oh i cant wait to play this. game looks so cool. i think im going to gamefly this though because i really dont see the replay value in this game unless there going to come out with a ton of DLC.

Plus they've supported GTA IV and RDR really well with DLC. They seem to be one of the few that know how to make worthwhile DLC.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Pretty much. Both of those games have had well-worth a purchase DLC packs come out, and I could see them releasing another, smaller, "investigation" type DLC pack with a new big crime for you to solve.Comment

Interesting interview, it really seems they did a ton of research and we got to know just how many desks/variety of crime that you'll be faced with as well.
